There lives a beast within
One who longs to be free
It rumbles deep inside
Eager for it's other life.
I see her within myself
A beauty to behold
With eyes of emerald green
That can burn into your soul.
Her body is sleek and lean
That ripples when she walks
Her flesh is dark as the night
But burst a brillant blue in the moonlight
She hunts for pleasure of the soul
An ache deep within she longs to fill
Only hours at a time can she search
For dawn chases the night away.
For you see I am but of the night
Transformed by dawn's dying light
To live free for only hours at a time
Then dawn transforms me once again.
