A mild September evening
at Peggy's Cove, by-the-sea,
The drone of a plane, a flash,
suddenly a thud, a crash!
Stillness broke at Peggy's Cove.
Peggy's Cove painted by all,
just a tiny fishing town,
A little spot near the sea,
used to loss by dark waters,
Now extends its sympathy.
I am a Canadian
and as proud as I can be,

By serene folks giving aid,
At Peggy's Cove, by-the-sea.
