One cry, two cry
Three cry, four
I stand and listen
By your door.
 
Not wanting to get you
But not wanting you to cry
I take a deep breath
And let out a big sigh.
 
Five cry, six cry
Seven cry, eight
Baby, go to sleep
It is getting real late.
 
I know I shouldn't
But I can't take it no more
I can no longer
Just stand at the door.
 
Nine cry, ten
I have to come get you
Now you know
YOU WIN!
