-Everyone Else-
Your crazy ways I seem to know
Has never been as exposed as today
Making claims to unsorted thoughts
Realizing that the rumors were true.
Everyone else gave you luck
Since I wasn’t the last one to see you.
Everyone else was the source
Of your fun and adventure.
Everyone else is worthy
To hold a position higher than me.
Everyone else is your best friend.
Everyone else is your soul mate.
Everyone else had the final gift--memorabilia
The kiss you never gave me.
And now I’m here with little knowledge
Since you destroyed whatever feelings
I had for you that were respectful.
My innocence was only helpful
To everyone else who had you.
Whether it was one night
Or for everyday.
And if you lied to me before
I can never believe you again
With silent tribulation, I recall
Only times of sadness
Throughout the lack of your presence.
While you were sharing
The kiss of luck when the clocks
Claimed your final day alive.
I was kissing a ghost, not a memory.
But everyone else will keep
Those memories they have of you.
While I ponder on my lack of
Only because my plan was to forget you.
No turning back time will save us
You would have done the same things
Over and over again
Until I realize
That’s the way it is
I don’t need your memory.
I don’t need your shadow upon me
Telling me right.
You did wrong when
You went to everyone else
And forever it will be you
Who will feel the absence
In your heart that I felt from the time
You walked out for my life
Forever.
