-Memories-
The memories can’t seem to die
Of the scenes in which happiness lied.
Goodness and sadness reigned
Harmoniously leaving me pain.
All the people who were dear
Existed ant hen disappeared
Expected for life is that way
But I thought it would be more emotional.
Friends I knew like a book
But I didn’t stay attached
Figuring it would last on its own.
Childhood was my friend
Even though it restricted me
In my thoughts and words
The people who surrounded me
During my stages of growing up
Were important in an oblivious way.
I never thought I’d miss the good old days
While we live these times in hopes
To get over it quickly
You’ll realize that we can’t bring ourselves back to yesterday.
