-Storm-
Raging storm from above
Pour your feelings upon us
As we sit in our homes and wait.
Flash the lights, the best representation
Of your anger at us
For our deathly wrongs and mistakes
Expel your tears onto the ground
Peaking at your greatest mountain
Of anxiety and fear.
And fear you feel for us
Cry your cloudy eyes for us.
Show your pity and sympathy
Leave us in your shadow.
Soak us with your tears
Shine upon us the guilty light.
You travel miles to your destination
A little town, a big city,
And you depress yourself
To the point of insanity
Where the symptoms are flowing
And you see no end.
You bring fear to children and adults alike.
You scare the bravest of men
With your violent tantrums
Your selfish rages,
All due to us for your suffering.
We see your tears
We feel them seep through our skin
We feel your breath
Blowing on our trees to the ground.
The ways of your tantrums are clear
We can predict you before arrival.
It’s almost as if we’re waiting
To see you come with violence
And hatred in your eyes.
You come mostly in the night
So no one can see your face.
And it works, it scares us more
It makes us feel the insanity
You feel when you find yourself
Crying upon us with your tears
And making us aware of your storm-like manner…
Until you stop.
