The little boy sits motionless,
Mesmerized,
By the wheels of the toy car,
Spinning.
Time seems only to slip by.
It is of no importance to him.
Children laugh and play around him,
Ignore him.
He seems oblivious to all that's around him.
He doesn't realize the world is alive.
He cannot feel the joy,
The sorrow,
Of friendship,
Of love,
Of life.
But instead enjoys the simple things.
Things that we take for granted.
He sits motionless,
Mesmerized,
While time goes by.
