The Good Red Road and the Indian Way

Ghost Wolf talks about the Good Red Road, our trials and the hope for our tomorrow. Hope from stregnthening ourselves as an individual, and by working together and helping each other rise to create the age of prosperity. Many are drawn to the Indian Way, the Good Red Road. It has been 500 years since the European first broke the spell of innocence that they found in this pristine Garden of Eden they stumbled upon. It has been 500 years since they began their campaign of rape and plunder of the Turtle's resources. This assault on the land, combined with government programs specifically designed to exterminate the native inhabitants, has essentially decimated the Earth of America and her original People. We must also take into account the importation of slave labor by the early ruling class. The resulting American society has evolved into a pot-pourri of mixed nationalities and fragmented spiritual beliefs. There is now more chaos than harmony.

Summer is the time when one can escape to the outdoors and feel the expanse of nature. Dancing in the sunlight and playing in her waters, one cannot help but succumb to the desire to strip off the robes that hide us so well during the introspection of the winter season.

Those robes sheltered us from the cold, as well as the scrutiny of people expressing attitudes of the collective unconscious. After spending winter encased within a shell, one realizes, through the re-birthing energy of spring time, a natural desire to throw off the restraints of cloistered existence and the overbearing malaise of life.

Many people are feeling a deep emptiness inside. It is a feeling of unattained fulfillment. We are running around frantically and, for the most part, in circles, trying desperately to find our missing pieces. Well, perhaps the first mistake is in looking outside of ourselves. Whoever said we were incomplete to begin with? Perhaps the "missing piece" theory is only another lie in a very poorly written children's story. What if there is no missing piece? And as for everything outside of ourselves, well, it's just that - everything outside of self - and no more than that.

If there is a definition for Indian, it has to do with realizing self and owning our inter-relationship with the living world around us. It has to do with realizing your relationship to Great Spirit, and Mother Earth, and all the life forms that are part of her dream. It has to do with being one with self, with accepting one's self, with empowering one's self. The flow of nature outside of us and within us is the natural order of things. We are not apart from it; we do not exist in spite of it. We exist along with it. It is about being content with just being what we are and accepting the Creator who is within. Perhaps that is what we mean when we try to apply the term Indian to perception.

We could never be Indian like the old ones we hear talked about in the legends. Not even many real Indians can do that. What we consider the old days are a time that is no longer here on this plane. It is past; it is behind us. We are entering the 21st century. It is not a path of power to walk through this life with our head turned backwards; we will only trip over what is in front of us. We will never get where we are going. At best, we'll stay safe, stuck in the rut of going nowhere, accomplishing nothing, just going round and round on the merry-go-round.

How many times have I heard people say Aho Mitakuye Oyasin, all my relations, only to see them turn around a few moments later in casual conversation, and draw lines of demarcation between us and them. We the people and those of the establishment. We, who follow the true way, and those other misguided ones. My side. Their side. Black. White. Red. Christian. Jew. Hindu. Indian. Mexican. Pole. Asian. People who separate this way are very trapped in the ignorance of limited mind; they are truly running in circles. Could such limited minds ever consider that perhaps there is just a human character, a human way.

Many times I have seen people come out of the Inipi Lodge feeling like their lives were changed. And, in fact, their lives were changed. For, at that moment, all the doors were opened. For a moment, they were free of their dogma, their past, their karma. For a split second, they were free to walk into the living moment. If! If they had chosen to step outside of old belief patterns. But almost always people insist on returning to a way of life that leads them from one dead end to another. Day after day, they repeat the same old stuff, the same old recycled ignorance. Freedom of spirit has become an illusion to most. Most people prefer their addiction to ignorance. How many "Indians" have I met who do not know the spiritual ways of their own people? I have seen whole tribes that have lost their ways, even their language. I have seen young men in tears at my ceremonies because they did not know about their own heritage. I have seen hundreds of people of European ancestry, with no knowledge of the customs and beliefs of their own grandparents. They have no memory or awareness of their own lineage as people of the Earth. They are dressing Lakota and doing Lakota ceremony. What of their own heritage? What of their own spirituality?

It is frightening what organized religions have done to humanity on a global level. They have built walls between people that never should have been there. Religion has, for the most part, driven spirituality out of humanity. Religion has separated people from Creator, the land, and each other. We have become void as people, and like cancer, this mutated expression of consciousness is killing the very source of its existence. It is creating a mutated, self-destructive consciousness.

Religions time of domination over humanity is coming to a rude and abrupt ending. There is a new humanity emerging from the ashes of the old; one that can no longer accept the state of ignorance that has manifested from a sterile, compassionless, Godless dogma. We have been subjected to dogma that was created as a smoke screen to keep people ignorant, so they could be controlled, controlled by priests who had little or no spiritual understanding to begin with.

So, many come to the Indian Way hoping beyond hope that perhaps here we will find salvation from a world gone mad, a world trapped within the cages of its own illusions. "There must be truth in something," we hope. We come like waves upon the ocean, endless as patterns blown by winds of change. There is a sea of emotionally and spiritually wounded. And we number in the billions now! Many are confused and lost, for everything around them has lost meaning. Many are at war with themselves, poisoned by traditional dogmatic beliefs that preach fear and unworthiness, dogmatic beliefs that preach fear of an unmerciful and vengeful God who never really seems to hear their prayers, a God who has denied them in their time of darkness.

These people are indeed the "Children of Babylon."

Among them are those who would desire to establish themselves as the leaders of the chosen few. Any person, or group who places themselves above another will only teach limitation and self-annihilation. Anyone who embarks on the road to higher understanding with the underlying purpose of controlling others, or to set themselves up as the deliverer of a new religion will be greatly disappointed. All forms of structure will be brought down before the changes are through. There have been enough houses of religion. There have been enough holy tyrants! It is time to return to God.

And that brings us to the returning of the Christ. The Second Coming, as it is termed, is indeed already occurring. However, it is the return of all Christs, not one personality. For the Christ that is in all of us can be accessed at this time. This raising of the Christ Consciousness is for all people. It is the raising of the Christ consciousness within all living things as well. For all are of the Father, and all are made from the Mother's flesh. All upon this plane are one with the same Creator. For the Creator, or the God force, is within all life forms. All that transpires upon this plane is the responsibility of each and every one of us. For we are the co-creators of the reality upon this plane. We are one with, and part of, the Creator.

And what about Lucifer, the Anti-Christ? The Anti-Christ lives within the hearts of mankind. He was born of ignorance, and finds strength in the people's fear. When all people realize that Creator is truly within us, then the Christ will be risen. Then, and only then, shall a New Jerusalem be realized upon this plane. A time of great transition in the energy patterns upon this plane is coming soon. A change is coming of such magnitude that no living thing will go untouched, for everything on this plane is of the same vibratory spectrum, or it would not be of this plane.

Let us create a new terminology for the sake of identity-Neo-Indigenous People, a new and different form of indigenous people, those who are of the Earth, the Earth Keepers. Who could that be? It could be anyone who lives with respect and impeccability upon the embodiment of the sacred Mother of all, for who upon this plane does not contain within them the very elements that we call the Earth? Not one. No one people or race has the exclusive territorial rights over Sacred. For all things upon this plane are sacred. Each of us is but a small part of the whole. We are so like fish swimming about, desperately trying to find the ocean, only to discover we have been in the midst of it all the while.

That which we call life's drama upon this plane is like a dream. We are the Dreamers of that dream. Did you know you give your personal power away? No one takes it. It can only occur if you allow someone else to dream you, or dream for you. No one can live another's dream. Dreams can only be shared.

When we depart from this plane, we realize that this plane is but a very small part of that which comprises our reality. At the moment of that realization, many desire to rush back into life on this plane, because we see the value of participating in this experience. Truly, it is a grand honor to experience life as Hu-man. If you find this hard to believe, then perhaps you should reason out your understanding of God. If all things were created by God, then how could any one thing be less than the other? Are not all things of God? Is not everything around you God? And if this God made all things, then who, indeed, made the Devil?

You see, we get hung up on words, and words are not absolute. So why do we then establish absolute differences based upon incomplete understandings? This form of separation is just attitude, fear-based attitude! Why is it so easy to see the separation, and so difficult to see the commonality of humanity? We get lost in the interpretation of language. The Creator of all things has no name. The supreme Creator cannot be contained in any word. The supreme Creator simply is.

How many variations of the meaning of the word "God" are there? Think about all the different languages and cultures that are upon this Earth. Then try to think of all the civilizations that have come before our time, and each of their words for God. Now, think of all their definitive descriptions of their God. Combine that with today's variations. OK! Is the picture getting clearer?

A grand change is occurring, of that we can be assured. The whole of the Earth is aware of it; every living thing is aware of it. It is only mankind that resists. The things of this Earth, the trees, the animals, the fishes, those things we see with our eyes, and those which we cannot, are aware of the change coming also. We are not exclusive in the realization that something big is going on. As a matter of a fact, we are in many ways, far behind other life forms on this planet in waking up to the reality of this change.

We have become like children lost in a maze of our own creation, a maze resulting from generations of altered and false spiritual teachings. When we seek to return to the ancient ways of the indigenous people, we are really looking for a way back home. We want to find the way back to the beginning of it all; a place where it was clear, and simple! And that is because, innately, we know that the indigenous people who have survived the onslaught of the civilization of the world, hold within their consciousness the original plan for Creation. They hold fragments of the original understandings of spiritual truth. Their stories are written on the rocks, and imprinted in their genetic code. Look everywhere upon our planet. The people from all cultures wrote it on the rocks; it is recorded in living stone.

This new energy that is filling the consciousness of the humanity and our planet is about being ourselves. It was born in the heavens as we create the new universe. This new universe will be physically in our heavens some time around the year 2007-2009. It is creating a new energy. It is about living in our truth, being who we are, becoming our truth. It is all about owning ourselves. Life is all about change. And that means that the person endeavoring to learn ancient customs or ceremony, should be very cautious about becoming trapped in the dogma that possibly comes along with tradition. The old ways may not necessarily apply to today's reality. They were meant for, and designed for, situations that existed then. Take the knowledge from the history and the method of expression it has to offer, and apply it to now.

Remember, walking with your head turned backwards is not a pathway of power. Your future is still always in front of you. The new world that is emerging, if it is to exist, will be brought about by very courageous people. The new world will be created by people who hold within them the tenacity to stand up against the limitations of centuries of dogma and control. We have been conditioned by tyrants to respond to fear.

Only a very few will be able to stand up against the tide of the collective unconscious. Only a few will be able to find the inner strength to reach inside themselves and bring about their own vision of reality. Those who can bring this about in the new world, while keeping those qualities of the ancients that are mutable and timeless, will be the forefathers of a new breed of humanity. They are the ones who hold the potential to become limitless.

The ways and songs that we were given from the GrandFathers and GrandMothers were the ways and songs of our Grandfathers, and Grandmothers. They were shared with us to act as guideposts to achieve our own destiny. Those ancient ones were on their own path, living out their own dreams. That is why they are so honored. They were not preoccupied living someone else's dream. They were men and women of great vision. They never meant for us to live their lives, or to become enslaved in dogma. That was applied later by the ones who used these gifts for purposes of self-gratification and domination over others. What is left of the old ways and understandings is given, for example, to give us something to relate to, to show it can be done! It is given to show us that there were those who came before, who did achieve. The intention was never for us to become enslaved by dogma.

There are those who possess the potential of becoming the sages of the new emerging world. We are like precious seeds lying dormant in the Earth. For some unknown reason, we are feeling moved to push our way up through the rocks and the soil. The first part of the journey here is always in darkness, as it is for all life forms. We don't see the light yet. We don't even know what the light is. But we will grow any way. We are living simply for the sake of being.

I have heard some tell me of the wisdom of the Mustard Seed. I will say this much on that. The seed does not know that through its process of growing, it will become the Rose. It has no way of knowing that, above the dark world of its existence beneath the Earth, there is brilliant sunlight, or the sound of birds singing. It doesn't know that future generations will depend upon its willingness to allow the Bee to pollinate it. It does not know that some thoughtless Human will come along and pick it from its home, to place it upon their lover's table.

There was never a Master Seed that went to be schooled in the wisdom of the ancient seeds. The seed just is. It relies upon its own instincts. The inner voice that is telling it to grow, grow, grow! It, in itself, is content to be the seed. It is content to seek nourishment and water, to push even the rocks from its path of destiny. We are no different, no less than that precious seed that will become the Rose.

And what of the countless masters and shamans who did not make it to the headlines of historical data. How did they view the world and their relationship to Creator? Through their own eyes! This is the essence of the master, the Shaman. They saw through their own eyes. They possessed their own thoughts. In no other way could they have achieved what they accomplished. Least of all, by letting someone else dream their dream. We shall term them "OTIPEMSIWAK," those who own themselves. That is why the Spirits spoke to them, and they were able to communicate with the Spirits. For the veil that separates us from Spirit is only the thin veil of illusion, and we are prisoners of our own thoughts of limitation. Our limitations exist only in how we perceive ourselves to be limited. It is a trick of the Mind.

Whatever you own of yourself, you own. No one can take it from you. You are Spirit, and that is forever. You can not kill Spirit; you cannot burn Spirit. When you leave this plane, you have the choice to continue. Know that this is a grand truth. How else could you explain your being able to talk to Grandfather? If you are afraid of losing your power, it is only because you do not yet own that power. Great power is never held, or possessed; it can never be possessed. It is, it simply is.

Perhaps the key here is to tell ourselves that it is not in what we do, as much as what we do not do. We have to create the space to receive. We must quiet the mind. It then flows like a river. To claim access to power of any sort, we must first come to terms with our own life, and make the conscious effort to own ourselves and to live a conscious life. We must claim the responsibility for the whole of our life. Evolution is a process, not an event. Awakening means just that. It is an awakening from slumber to the truth that lies dormant within us.

People are beginning to notice that these choices must be made moment by moment, for in the span of a single day we will have the opportunity, through choice, to go from the highest end of the emotional spectrum to the lowest ebbs of human emotion. There is no easy, smooth pathway. We will need to be conscious and awake every moment along the journey. We are going to be taught, through experience, to become responsible for our thoughts and actions. The free ride is over. You might say that the overlords of this plane have elected to hand over the responsibility for our continuation as a species, to us!

In these times we must try to understand that what we have come to call the Armageddon, is occurring within the souls of mankind. The fire that consumes the world will be the fire of uncontrolled human emotions and unconscious thought. We are one with the Earth. We are one with the Father. What we feel in our inner being, whether it be turmoil and violence, or the peacefulness of the master in the Himalayas, will be reflected in everything around us. Life will affirm our innermost thoughts.

Unless we develop our inner spirituality, and accept absolutely everything as part of Creator, these will prove to be very hard times. For, in truth, all of the dogmatic structured religions and the governments that have imprisoned the souls of mankind in their attempt to control the peoples of Earth, shall fall. This will automatically happen as a result of people realizing that they have been caught up in the manifestation of separation and limitation.

The people of this Earth long for the reunion with their Spirit and reconnection to the Source. They long for the Oneness of all humanity. It is destiny. And the leaders will run like frightened children from forces and powers from which they separated themselves long ago, forces and powers about which they have little or no understanding. They will find no answers to appease the questions that humanity will put before them.

Each of us is being given the gift of choosing our own destiny. The Blue Ray is now upon the planet; and it is a two-edged sword. It is time to separate from the herd mentality to which most have become accustomed. The Herd mentality only encourages us to follow expected behavioral and contrived belief patterns. It is called Social Consciousness. Mankind at this moment, is being given the opportunity to expand from limited consciousness, into God-Consciousness.

Those who do not choose to follow this pathway that is being opened as we enter into a Fourth Dimensional reality of the Fifth World, will have a place provided, far from here, in a manner of speaking, where they can develop at their own rate. But as for this Earth, She is moving along on schedule. That can no longer be altered or slowed. We must move with self-assurance and the speed of the Hawk, for the dawning of awakened man is at hand. The age of man's tyranny over man, is coming to an abrupt close.

The Sacred Hoop is already spinning in a sacred spiral pattern, expanding into tomorrow. This can only be viewed by our coming fully into the now. The Earth is simply moving toward the next step in its own evolutionary path. And no one can predict when that final shift will actually occur. All we can do is prepare ourselves. We see the storm clouds in the distant horizon, and they are telling us to tie down, and prepare for the brunt of the storm. The only thing that is perfectly clear at this time, is that the storm is inevitable and not far off.

I have learned much with these eyes? The One World Order is here. That the Days to Come are these days we are living. We cannot see that because we are in it. Wolf says, "If you are the color red in the rainbow, you cannot see the color red."

We must all function cognitively and spiritually, simultaneously now. We must employ the physics of consciousness and energy. We must discipline our ability to hold a thought, through any distraction, and learn to focus energy toward that thought. Consciousness and energy create the nature of all reality. It is the greatest truth you can ever master. It is the truth of creation.

My Elders say, "When the food supply gets short and the people revolt, all those people who have held their tongues for so long are going to start screaming, and they are going to tell it all. And they will point fingers, and the truth will be let out to the whole world. And even in that, Superconsciousness will come. And if the plan of the Graymen (the tyrants) succeeds and the vacuum collapses, you will see an Armada like you only thought existed in fairy tales. They do exist!"

"Whatever the precise manifested destiny turns out to be here, which ever phenomenon acts first, it will be based on your collective attitude; this is what will create your tomorrow.

"Never regret a choice! Because what you have chosen to do allows you to evolve; it's a divine declaration. And what may leave you with regret is really only part of further evolution. You never lose anything. Every thing you have ever done in any of your life times got you here, in the now. Know that you are almost home.

"It only takes one truly magnificent human being to give hope to so many. And there have been a few who have risen to the top of the mountain, to a place where their voice could be heard reverberating throughout the whole of the world, indeed, until it ricocheted off the stars. Individuals who, by the very virtue of rising to that pinnacle of fame, wealth, and respectability, have an opportunity to change the lives of millions of people. Because all those millions needed was a glimmer of light from a blazing entity, to show them it was possible for everyone to be that way. That's what hope is-an image, a light, truth, a reflection, something somewhere to help you begin the journey out of bondage. For you have certainly been in bondage.

In this season of the Buffalo, I wish you wisdom in your choices. I wish you to find joy in your dance. I wish you the highest and the best fulfillment. Keep walking through the grass. There is a new day coming, and it truly is the darkest in that moment just before the light of the dawning of the new day.

They say, "Many are called. But few are chosen." But I tell you that many are called; few choose for themselves. No one chooses you. You choose, that is how it works. That's one of those secrets no one wanted you to know. Take back your power, own your own destiny.
