Cheese Stuffed Manicotti

8 manicotti shells (long pasta tubes)

1 pound ground beef

2- 6 ounce cans tomato paste

1/2 cup chopped onion

2 tblsp chopped parsley flakes

1 tblsp oregano

1 1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp garlic powder

2 cups water

2 eggs

3 cups ricotta cheese or (cream style cottage cheese drained)

1/2 cup romano or parmesan cheese grated

1/4 tsp salt

1 tsp parsley flakes

1/4 cup grated romano or parmesan cheese

cook manicotti noodles in boiling salted water 15-20 minutes rinse in cold water in saucepan brown meat, add tomato paste,and all other ingredients (to the water) simmer 15 minutes on low heat

combine next ingredients in a bowl, stuff noodles with cheese mixture

put 1/2 the meatsauce in a greased baking dish, put in the stuffed noodles cover with remaining sauce and sprinkle with parmesan cheese bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes (uncovered) serves 6-8 people
