Not So Silent Enemy

It attacks with so much vengeance

Making enemies, as it goes along

Destroying all of the good cells

Leaving only destructive cells in their place

Treatment doesn't always work

Leaving anguish and frustration in it's path

Pain, discomfort, and often total destruction

Are all symbols of this horrid beast, that tears a life apart

This enemy is not choosy, it attacks both young and old

Leaving hearts that are filled with sadness as it completely takes its toll

I pray that some day there will be a cure for this savage beast

So that others will not have to feel, the devistation that it leaves

This can apply to so many horrible diseases, be it Cancer, Aids, Multiple Schlerosis, Cystic Fibrosis, the list goes on and on. I pray that some day there will be a cure for all diseases. Hopefully before too many more lifes are lost.
