Fast And Furious

The winds they blow

So very fast

The turmoil we hope

It does not last

With much destruction

In its path

All we see

Is the aftermath

Homes are gone

And with them go

The lives of people

Young and old

Some lay critical

In hospital beds

With broken bones

And swollen heads

How does mother nature

Leave so much pain ?

Why can't it just be

A storm of rain ?

The winds they howl

So loud and strong

What did we do

That was so wrong?

For now we must

Rebuild our lives

Even though we're torn

Apart with grief

Oh yes there's sometimes

A true miracle

Like a baby found

Amongst the rubble

So much we've lost

In this furious storm

Leaving some of us

Feeling so forlorn

So now begins

A fresh new start

Holding the love of family

Within our hearts
