First Bloom
There was a tiny daffodil
Sitting in the lawn
All alone and wonderful
Beaming from the sun
The tiny flower sat
there
So bright and yet
carefree
It was so proud and
tall
And was as happy as
could be
The little flower
wondered
Where all the other
flowers were
And looked around
to see
If they were over
by the tree
It didnt see a single
bloom
And sat there in amazement
At how this could
ever be
To be alone and feeling
great
As if its life were
free
There are times I
feel the same way
As that tiny little
flower
But my life is richer
every day
And really even by
the hour
I'm not sure if its
possible
To have a life that
has no gloom
But having all of
you as friends
Makes me a flower
in full bloom
