Life's Goals

We set our goals from an early age

And reach for them as time goes on

Sometimes we don't realize

Where the goals even come from

To set our standards high enough

And try to see them through

Will make our whole life easier

With everything we do

It seems the first goal that we set

Is done before we know

To reach the goal of walking

And allowing it to grow

As we go through life

The goals do change

And that is how

We seem to manage

As time goes on we set a new height

That's what keeps our future bright

Without having goals

Where would we be

I am not sure

I'd want to see

I use each goal to improve myself

And be the best that I can be

For without goals we have no worth

And goals will help us to be free

If we are happy in what we do

The peacefullness comes shining through
