Toshinden 3 - Tips Here's a few tips that make this great game even better: PARRY ATTACK (back & TRI or CIR at the same time): Each character has one or more attacks that cause them to flash white, deflect _any_ incoming attack, and launch a powerful counterattack. Kayin doesn't have a TRI version, just CIR. BTW- You still take damage if you're hit by an incoming attack, you just don't suffer any other effects from it. JUGGLE BREAK (hammer CIR): After you've been bounced up into the air from an attack, hammer the CIR button. This will often let you "bounce" out of the juggle, flashing white. RICHOCHET (TRI or CIR as hitting wall): When you are thrown horizontally into a wall, hitting TRI will let you shoot back in a horizontal path while attacking. CIR lets you land safely without the attack. TURNAROUND (hold back & press CIR and TRI): Doing this while in throw range, you character will grab their opponent and pull them while turning around. Your character winds up facing the back of their opponent, handy for combos...:) Lastly, I know someone posted how to get the final characters in the game, but I found that it didn't quite work correctly. The original poster activated all of the enemy characters, then played through the game with Vermillion in order to activate Sho. Then he played through with Sho on skill level 5 without gaining anything. Then he played through on skill level 7 to activate Abel. I played through twice, first on skill level 7, then on skill level 5 and didn't get anything. Finally I tried playing through again on skill level 7 and it worked. Maybe you have to go from 5 to 7? Oh, and has anyone else noticed that Bayhou is wearing Fo's head? It's stuck in the hat he wore in Toshinden2 and wrapped around monkeyboys neck. You can see the face & cloth pattern if the camera is right... Anyway, enjoy!!! UPDATE: I just beat the game with ALL the characters, including SHO, ABEL, VEIL and NARU (BTW:I set the skill level to 3 to beat it with NARU). Now there are four pallettes for each character, often entirely new costumes! he TRI and CIR buttons select the original first or second player color. SQR and X select the new first and second player colors. Here's some of the cooler variations: Bayhou: Dressed exactly like FO, but the skin tone is deathly gray. Looks pretty creepy IMO. Rungo's opposite: Instead of the clunky square body, he now has a very human looking form, carries a spiked mace, and has a human head (looks just like Zangief from Street Fighter!) Sophia: Wearing a costume almost exactly like she had in Tosh2. Her opposite no longer looks like Catwoman. She's barely wearing a half-shirt and some wraps, along with a cat mask. Tracy: WOW! Decked out in pants and a vest with POLICE stenciled on the back. Looks great, IMHO, much better than the original costume. Chaos: Has a more "normal" looking outfit. His opposite looks like a deranged harlequin. Big white hands & big white feet along with a white clown mask. Very strange. I was somewhat disappointed to find that neither Vermillion nor Gaia have their old outfits, but... BTW- I'm guessing that NARU is Kayins daughter. She has similar moves, and has duplicates of his victory stances. A fun trick to do with her is let her stay in one spot for a while. She'll look around at the environment, then suddenly spot her opponent. She'll let out a delighted giggle, run to them and start circling them.....
