Against
the Wall
The
walls of the house are paper thin,
A
child's laugh is heard,
You
can almost see her grin.
She's
a happy little girl of maybe three or four.
Her
parents give her love she is never ignored.
Yet
there's another child with tears in her eyes
She's
standing in the closet,
From
her parents she wants to hide.
She
doesn't want to tell you all the hurts she feel inside.
She
loves her parents so much,
That
it makes up for her blackened eyes.
To
put her in a foster home would be the best thing to do.
But
can you forever break this broken girls heart in two.
Her
parents aren't poor or impoverished in any way.
Does
that give them the right to beat this girl,
from
day to day?
There
will come a day when all aren't judged
by
the law of the land.
And
those impressed by money and power,
Will
be judged by "His" hand.
This
child is still suffering as I know her well.
As
an adult the torment lives on,
And
still no one she tells.
