Stephen

A Kabbalistic Synopsis

Stephen is a man who doesn't feel particularly comfortable when he is working for someone else. He is happiest when he is in charge of his own affairs. He certainly has the gift of gab, which makes him a terrific deal closer, for he has the ability to persuade the reluctant party to part with their cash after hearing a few of his carefully chosen words. One Hebrew equivalent of the value of his name is the phrase "they of the world". This phrase refers to Stephen's wisdom, and to the fact that he truly is a man of the world. In spite of his sophisticated nature, Stephen can be challenging when it comes to relationships. It's not that he is emotionally cold or refuses to listen, but simply that he can be a deeply insecure man, which makes him extremely possessive. However, with all that he has going for him, Stephen can attract a partner who is able to deal with these obstacles.

The runic Interpretation

With the Perth rune for transformation, Hagalaz bringing disruptions, and Nauthiz for constraint, Stephen is bound to have nagging worries. Luckily, there are many willing arms outstretched to comfort him. The double Ehwaz rune of movement means Stephen can escape into music and dance his blues away. Ehwaz also lures him to live in or visit exotic places and travel. Another cheery note is the manly Teiwaz rune, which makes Stephen feel like a twentieth-century Tarzan. Mighty Teiwaz is the warrior rune, and with all the confusion in his life, Stephen is entitled to pound his chest now and then. But he does so just to let off some steam.

The Numerological Interpretation

Stephen is a fascinating friend and a very exciting partner. He has a natural sense of grace and seems to glide through a room. He has poise, charm and magnetism to boot. Stephen is also very self-assertive, and he has a strong need to express his talents and abilities. Although an intimate relationship is important to him, it cannot be with a person who is emotionally dependent or needy. Stephen wants to be free to move through life. He is delighted to have a companion with whom he can share his experiences, but he definitely does not want to be tethered down.
