Corn Chowder

 

4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

1 lg onion, chopped

3 med potatoes, peeled and cubed

2 ½ cups water

½ c chopped green peppers

1 tsp salt

¼ tsp pepper

2 (15oz) cans whole kernal corn

1 (15 oz) can cream style corn

1 lg can evaporated milk ¼ c flour

 

Cook bacon until crisp, add onion and peppers, saute until soft. Add potatoes, 2 cups water, salt and pepper; cover. Simmer 15 minutes or until tender. Remove from heat. Stir in corn with can liquid and evaporated milk. Blend flour with remaining water; stir into chowder. Cook, stirring constantly over medium heat until chowder thickens and bubbles 1 minute.
