I only have 25 days left here. I'm a little scared. The nice thing about the impending deadline of me leaving is that I get to do all this stuff with my buds that has the special spice of being "the last" whatever. Like this weekend had a special frenetic wonderfulness born of thje fact that there are only 3 more weekends before I vamoose off to Houston. Saturday I actually worked most of the day... from 10-6 to be specific ("Pooltoe!!!"), but then I went out and had a ludicrous amount of fun with Mohammed and Becky and Maryanne and Joel at this traveling fair to support the Fire Dept. up in Hicksville, Far Rockaway. It was fun though, the rides were bouncy and threatened to fall apart at any moment, so it was all goofball and such ("I like Chicken and Cheez!"). Plus anything seen through a haze of cotton-candy induced hyperness has to be fun. The ride up and back from Nowheresville was less fun, cause Joel was Joel, and kept on saying stupid crap until I had to punch him. ("Wanna put your head in my lap?...Hey! That hurts! Ow!!") Anyway, I went home, and slept off my sugar buzz. Sunday was the big trip up to Baltimore to ssee the O's *really* loose. To the Mariners, no less! Grrr.... Anyway, the big pile of people in Becky's car was actually Wes, Maryanne, me, Becky and Mo and after getting a little too much sun at the game, and pouring water all over one another we went down to inner harbor, and ate {*NOT* at Hooters, I'll have you note} at Johnny Rocket's ("When you see the red dot on your head, don't move!"). Then we drove back, and it was fun, because Mo' was only perverse and perverted, not hungover anymore. If the pictures of the day come out, you may yet see them up here. Anyway then there was a joke of a FAU meeting ("Funnyboneitis!!") and we went out to Shoney's and then, tragically, my weekend was over.
If any of my constant readers are perplexed by the fact that the diary seems to focus mostly on my weekend exploits, that is mostly because I don't really feel like writing, and I don't think you feel like reading "Today I wrote my abstract. Then I edited it. Then I typed in the edits..." so I mostly stick to my weekends for material, simply for the interest factor.(As if anyone reads this anyway).
