Snakes make great pets, Honest !!!
|
I never thought that I would have a snake as a pet, much less two of them. I got my first snake after a breakup of a four year relationship. I named him Gaberial after the Angel. I picked a snake to remind me never to believe everything I hear and see. My first snake was a Sonoran Desert King snake. He has a black background with yellow markings all over him. As with most snakes he eats mice. I just saw all the women reading this cringe. Well, thats what they eat. He will live for about 40 years, get five feet long, and he is immune to any other snakes venom. He has a great personality and yes, snakes do have a personality. He get's along with human's great. He is gentile and likes to curl around your neck and walk with you. He will stay there for hours. But the one thing you really have to watch is that they are great excape artists. If you have them out of the tank, don't take your eyes off them or you will be looking for them forever. Make sure that your cage has a lock top. I also have a South American Milk Snake and her name is Flame. She is red, yellow and black, and as snakes go a very beautiful snake. If you know what a Coral Snake looks like just reverse the colors and that's what she looks like. She will live about 40 years, get to be about six feet long and is also immune to any other snakes venom. But do yourself a favor, don't get a snake if your not going to put in the effort it takes to raise one. And also please research snakes before you go and buy one and it grows to be about 30 feet long, and only buy from speciality Reptile Stores so you know that your new snake will live and not die because it was imported illigally.
