OK. People from New Zealand sometimes classify themselves as "Kiwis". The Kiwi is the native bird of New Zealand. I think that's why they chose it. But WHY on earth, would you want to take after a nocturnal, poor sighted, flightless, fat, dowdy, big nosed bird is BEYOND me. *Shrug*. If you come across anyone calling themselves a Kiwi they do NOT mean a Kiwi Fruit (round, brown, fuzzy, and green on the inside) *smirk*.
