While you are not an international student, you do not know how it feels...

Many come to the United States believing that they will find new dreams and new hopes for the future. Some flee from their countries to accomplish such belief risking all the possession they have. Some do not care about such belief but come and live new and wonderful experiences that will enrich their lives. Their desire is to share those experiences with others in their homeland. With an optimistic outlook, they land in the United States with their baggage in hands and bright shinning eyes, smiling and enthusiastic. Yet many hope for dreams and hopes, they do not know what they face ahead in the land where broken dreams exist...

I am talking about not having enough money for college. While international students do not receive financial aid, there are new laws being created to raise their college tuition. Why is the US government doing that? Are those students the one to blame for the economy? Are they the one to blame for the decreased amount of jobs that are available to many permanent or US citizens? The answer is "NO!" These barriers are causing hindrance to many international students. Their dreams and hopes fade little by little as the financial burden keeps increasing. Many of these students find no solution but just attend an affordable and cheap college or university while other students, who are not international students and not even as talented, go to better schools or even attend school for FREE! That is not "Equal Opportunity"... "Hey," some say, "it is better than no school at all, right?" Well, this is another issue. By rejecting international students financial help and even looking at our college applications as the last package for admission, their opportunity for admission lessens for even a cheap and excellent college or university. Their self-esteem drops and instances of hurt appear very often in whatever they want to accomplish...

Hey, should we let these burdens and hindrance take the best of us??? No! Here is your chance. I know many of you, international students are talented and have a lot to say about yourself or are very artistic. If you can contribute anything to my site, please go ahead, especially in the members' talents section. Come on, share your thoughts (personal stories will be great), drawings and whatever you have. I had enough of the stupid laws and restrictions on us. I even created a web site before this one with all my thoughts and you can even feel how I was feeling at that time. I named it Welcome Home. At that time, I felt I was the only one with college problems. I have to say that it was very selfish of me to think that way. This is why I created this site, just for all of you! Come on and surf through my web site. Hey, don't forget to get your free membership. Let's tell the whole world that we are not ALONE!
