The Suppressed Mind

Deem the man mad

put him far away

keep him clandestine

but his spirit shan’t sway

Never until the day

when from out of the crowd

comes an existance reborn

voice soft-spoken, but proud

With an assortment of unique thoughts

centered on the prize

the one always hidden,

hidden from seeking eyes

Though thought mad.,

the man’s mind clears

he demonstates his insight

to be heard by no ears

The man’s second voice

the ledger and the pen

for so long locked away

for that to happen, not again...

...although first taunted

no means of defense

standing ones ground

deemed as an offence

With unfair judgement

placed upon thee

no means of ending torment

that lasts eternity

**Helpless and grim

the future seems so cruel

no mercy for the weak

only the strong may rule

But a light still shines

the sacred light of hope

where vivacity has life

that always helps one cope

Freedom, it sings

the voice of a dove

it sings of parity,

sanctity, and love
