Them and I
The world looks at me
them, they are above
filled with such surfeit
hate, they’ve learned to love
I look to them even
they look to me, disdain
all I ask for is a chance
all they give me, pain
If it would inflict hurt
me they’d love to kill
they can destroy my body
they’ll never beat my will
So me they always do taunt
my temper they wish to meet
I’ll give them no such pleasure
I stare meekly at my feet
My self-respect I need
as strong as is my blood
mot minded by the bastards
they see it as it were mud
Someday I’d love to hurt them
those assholes I would slay
freedom, oh freedom
it would be a fine day
But then, they and I
we’d be all the same
I’d be just like them
I’d be my own bane
