David Benham Over his 17-year career in advertising, David has faced (and defeated) creative challenges encompassing every product category. In the process, he has successfully used every communication medium in existence; from television commercials through direct-mail packages to skywriting and the World-Wide Web. The unifying factor in all of his work has been a philosophy of first identifying and solving the marketing problem before ever putting pen to paper. David's professional vocabulary simply does not include the expression "let's try it and see". In this way, David has economically and efficiently produced results that have set new sales benchmarks for his clients. For retailer Dick Smith Electronics, his "Cellular Easy" campaign took them from 13th in the Australian mobile phone market to third (and created an additional $2 million in sales) over a single quarter. His sales promotion work for Toyota's Hi-Lux light truck range resulted in sales that exceeded targets by 500% without additional advertising expenditure. |
Originally a copywriter, David has
continually expanded his knowledge base, accumulating
impressive expertise in design and production (print,
audio, video and digital) plus fluency in marketing
theory and practice. This allows him to confidently oversee involved integrated campaigns involving the use of multiple communication mediums, ensuring a consistent, targeted message is delivered across all media.
