Maiougi
Name: Maiougi Hitosashi
(Chame Asobiaite Tawamure)
Age: 398 yrs
Height: 5' 1''
Weight: 100 lbs
Race: Kitsune
Maiougi's kitsune name is Chame Asiobiate Tawamure. She was born in Bettenchi's version of Japan but was captured at a young age by a corrupt priest who killed her parents. She escaped and traveled as a Rogue, dancing and stealing money, picking up magic and knowledge from creatures she met along the way. She still likes to roam, sometimes leaving for days on explorations. She's settled in Ruapenchi, having a small apartment above the Blacksmith's, who allows her to come and go as she pleases. She works regularly as a dancer at Trendlekim's Tavern (sanctioned by Mab), as well as telling fortunes and selling herbal remedies she makes.
Possessions:
She owns several plants including different herbs that she grows in pots in her apartment. She uses them for herbal potions and remedies. She also owns things you'd expect to find in a person of Asian origins: a jade figurine, crystals hanging from her windows and several scrolls calligraphic in characters, as well a bamboo plant and a Cherry Tree.
She owns a small apartment above the Blacksmith's shop that she has filled with the typical furniture as well as her plants. She keeps a small amount of jewelry, mostly old charms and family gems.
Because she is kitsune, she does not carry any regular weapons. On her at anytime she will most likely have her Kimono shirt with some sort of camisole underneath, pants of some sort, some money, a snack, the jewelry she's wearing and her Fortune cards. (Like Oriental Tarot). She does usually carry several packages of herbal teas and tonics that she can draw energy from, which she carries with others items such as money and in the sleeves of a kimono-like shirt, which has pockets so secure items will not fall out should she dance, run, etc. The shirt is also enchanted to adapt to her shifted forms, and retain its contents.
Maiougi is a "Nogitsune", a kitsune who doesn't pay regular effects to the Kitsune god Inari, and has not placed herself in a shrine or temple. She is therefore viewed by other Kitsune as a troublemaker and a rogue. Any established Kitsune would probably think twice before helping her, and she doesn't have the option of earning tails, she must gain them herself. She also has a Fox-like fear of larger creatures such as horses and other beasts of burden, and of very large dogs, which might also lead her to fear certain Ghidra. They seem to sense the Fox in her and often react accordingly. She has a slight allergy to felines but she doesn't mind them.
Maiougi is extremely agile and quick, as well as limber. She has exceptional balance and is able to hold her self in various intricate positions. This makes her an excellent dancer; it also makes her a decent thief. She is very charismatic and friendly for her species, willing to overlook their more-typical stereotypes. She has a tendency to swindle things from people, but usually only for play; she'll return them if the owner doesn't notice or if they don't react accordingly, or when they have discovered the trick. Likewise, she has good hand-eye coordination, making her skilled at things like juggling and slight of hand. She learned to read fortunes by a variety of means, mostly by cards or by palm, and she'll do them for entertainment or maybe even some cash *foxy grin*
Remember that she is very foxish, and will react to things like a fox might, and is therefore playful, sometimes skittish, and has a quick but indignant temper.
Maiougi can do the maximum amount of magic that a Kitsune at her level can accomplish. That roughs out to about three spells per day, plus a transformation (Disregarding cantrips). She has not chosen to learn any magic outside of Kitsune magic at this time. She has 3 tails, approaching her fourth.
She stands 5' 1'' and weighs 100 lbs. In human form her hair is the reddish-gold color of fox-fur, fading to blonde and back to red on certain areas. Her vulpine ears are accented in black, as well as her paws when in fox form. Her tails have white tips, represential to foxes. In human form she has a delicate, Oriental skin tone with delicate and refined features, but playful and voluptuous. In fox form she is the size of a slightly large red fox, and she keeps her tails in all forms, unless she uses an illusion to hide them.
<-----Human form.
Minus the ears.
