Early Morning in Chaouen

The village of Chaouen was one of my favorite places. The peaceful ambience of morning is in contrast to the busyness of merchants and shoppers that will soon take its place on the cobblestones of the medina, the old marketplace. As one continues up the road to the top of the mountain, the village becomes a maze of narrow streets with whitewashed houses and kids dashing in and out of doorways.
