How I Did This Home Page

This Home Page was done using 5 programs:

The graphics that you see were done first on Superpaint to get the basic objects like lines and curves. Once the basic outlines were done, I saved them as a "Pict". Then they were imported into Adobe Photoshop to render them and give them color. They were then saved as JPEGs or GIFs.

If it is saved as a JPEG, they can be used usually as backgrounds or buttons. GIFs are transparent like the main title and the Filipino architecture titles. If the graphics needed to be transparent, I first changed the "Mode" in Photoshop to "Indexed Color". If changed to below 8, they can now be saved as a GIF.

Then I opened it in Transparency 1.0. Once there, they were given a transparent background and saved as a GIF89a format graphic. From there, they were transferred via Fetch 2.1.2 onto the server.

The text was done using the freeware DiDa. It doesn't have as much when it's not registered, but it does make editing easier. DiDa has features to add backgrounds, images, links, and tables. There are other free HTML editors on the internet, it just takes a while to find them. Also, once the file is saved as an HTML document, you can import it into the documents folder and edit it in Simpletext, but you have to remember the HTML tags.
