The Goddess

The Goddess takes on three forms in Wicca. They are the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone. The Goddess takes on the form of the Maiden when she appears as a young, beautiful woman. In ancient stories she may grant the power to rule or present a weapon or chalice to a male. The Goddess as a mother symbolizes fertility and healing. In myths and legends she may give birth to animals, land features, or plants. A mother goddess is often described as pregnant and often become pregnant by unusual means. She represents creativity and Inspiration and can grant it to others. To Be Continued
