9th May 92 : 47442 at Blackpool North with a London bound train.
With Blackpool Tower in the background we see 47442 coupled to DVT 82150. The 47 works the
train as far as Preston where it is removed and the train continues to London with electric traction (already on the back of the train).
30th June 93 : 47580 "County of Essex" on a parcels train at Reading.
A mix of liveries here, a sign of things to come as privatisation increased the number of paint schemes dramatically.
21st Sept. 91 : 47592 on a Cross-Country service at Banbury.
"County of Avon" waits time on a southbound working at Banbury.
21st Sept. 91 : 47711 "Greyfriars Bobby" at Glasgow Queen Street.
Both 47711 and 47712 were repainted into large-logo livery at the time they were named.
22nd August 81 : 47712 runs into Dundee station.
One celebrity 47 at the time was this one, as it was named "Lady Diana Spencer". Being one of the 47/7 sub-class
it's use was restricted to Scotland, being found on Edinburgh to Glasgow workings or those to Aberdeen (as in this case).
December 90 : 47809 "Finsbury Park" at Birmingham New Street.
47809 backs on to a cross-country train, the electric locomotive having been removed.
