Lovers Rail, a private rail operator, runs a service from Amsterdam to IJmuiden on the coast. As the branch is not electrified, the train has a Class 2200 at each end.

Made redundant by the introduction of Thalys, the Belgian Railways class 25.5's have now found use with the private operator "Lovers Rail" who operate a service between Amsterdam Centraal and Haarlem.
