The
world looks pretty good doesn't it?
The
future's looking brighter than the sun could ever shine
It's
only one more murder, but that's how we kill time
And
our brothers feel like failures and our sisters like a whore
And
the fatherless and widowed ones are never cared for
Billboards
and television took the place
Of
genuine forgiveness and grace
And
all the ones who try to resist get displaced
I
can feel my toes get stepped on
I
can feel your slap in the face?
It's
a terminal illness
It's
a fatal disease
You
should blame yourself for it
But
I know you'll blame me?
It's
the stone we all cast
Trying
to knock a guilty man dead
It's
the stone that comes back and hits you in the head
Things
are gonna change I can feel it
This
world can only get better
Just
dispose of the ones you don't want
So
you don't have to wear the letter
And
our children feel like trash
They're
things we throw away
We're
not living for tomorrow
And
we want to die today
Cyberspace
took the place of Heaven
And
we want Jesus to be like the clerk at a seven eleven
Serving
us whatever we want and giving us our way
And
we'll betray him tomorrow like we betray him today
It's
a terminal Illness
It's
a fatal disease
Throw
money at the problem
And
it's the problem that you feed
Like
the guilotine on judgement day hungry for a head
There
won't be any conflict if everybody's dead?
This
place is better than God's green Earth (that's your affliction)
Like
a baby giving birth (contradiction)
And
it's gonna drag you on! (it's your benediction)
You
know you're in love and there's no escape
From
anything real that you don't hate
And
it's a fact that it's going to kill us
Because
we all have a terminal illness
