Universal Pictures presents a Zide/Perry production of American Pie, a riotous and raunchy exploration of the most eagerly anticipated - and most humiliating - rite of adulthood, known as Losing One's Virginity. In this hilarious lesson in life, love and libido, a group of friends, fed up with their well-deserved reputations as sexual no-hitters, decide to take action. Hopelessly inexperienced but fueled by hormones raging full-tilt, the guys each try a different but equally outrageous approach to scoring with the female sex. The girls are just as anxious - but are also confused, trying to act cool as they romanticize and idealize what is basically just pure physical attraction. The end result is an honest and affectionate look at a time in all of our lives when we try our hardest to hold on to our dignity... and end up failing miserably.
