BRANKO DRECUN'S permanent Exhibition

I remember that as a school boy my paintings were always on display in the exhibition room at the end of the schoolyear. Instead of going on to Art College, I chose a career in dentistry.
In Switzerland, my home since the age of 26, the desire to take up painting again arose inside me. In this country of fairy tales, with its multitude of picturesque subjects, I was easily inspired.
My enthusiasm and the wish to express myself through different styles gives me great satisfaction. My greatest challenge is to capture the impression of the moment with just a few brush strokes. My paintings are an extension of my soul.
To describe the fragrance of a rose is difficult, if not impossible. My paintings are my roses and I take great pleasure in personally inviting you to wander, at your leisure, through my rose garden.

Biography:

Branko Drecun is a self-taught artist who has lived in Switzerland since the age of 26. The sheer beauty of his country, is not only a constant source inspiration, but also an ongoing challenge for him to capture the impression of the moment with just a few brush strokes.
Branko's work captures and conveys his impression of the subject, be it a portrait, a still life or a landscape. The intensity of his palate and the economy of his brush strokes create the ethereal quality of his canvases.
