RW (Reverse Work), chain of one very small picot, eight DS, one picot eight DS, join to the second picot of the inner ring, continue chain as before, joining into alternate picots of the inner ring, join the fifth petal into the very small picot at the start of the first chain. TURN and continue chain of ten DS, **RW*SMALL RING of eight DS, picot, four DS, picot four DS, close ring. RW and start the next chain "THE PICOT CHAIN" as near as possible to the base of the ring and the end of the last chain --chain of two DS, nine picots separated by two DS, two DS, join to the first picot of the *SMALL RING. Continue chain by working ten DS, join to the small picot at the point where the last chain of ten started on the middle flower, turn and continue chain of ten DS, join to the same picot on *small ring. RW, ring of seven DS, join to the picot at the top of the petal on the middle flower, seven DS, two picots separated by seven DS, seven DS, close ring. Work chain as previous picot chain, join to the second picot of the last ring, continue chain of ten DS, join to the small picot at the start of petal (No.2) on the middle flower. Turn and continue chain of ten DS, join to the centre picot of the previous ring. **REPEAT from ** to ** three times, working round the middle flower. Then repeat as far as the last large ring -- Ring of seven DS, join to the picot on the last free petal of the middle flower, seven DS, join to the base of the first *small ring, seven DS, picot, seven DS, close ring. RW, repeat picot chain, join into the same picot at the base of the *small ring.
