I'm a Canadian, and my very first igloo was in that tiny fishing village, Halifax, Nova Scotia, though I've recently moved to a new igloo on the other side of the continient. My new home lies in the city of Victoria, British Columbia - the provincial capital, the Garden City, Canada's Little England, Canada's retirement center and wierdness magnet.
I'm chasing an elusive thing known as Higher Education in a magical land called the University of Victoria, where I major in French Language and Literature and minor in Germanic Studies. I'm taking Japanese too, just fun. (wry grin) My chase, however, is nearly complete! Next year, I shall graduate (assuming I haven't forgotten anything, annoyed the registrar, ticked off my professors, or otherwise performed a $10, 000 boo-boo) with a BA which will prepare me for an exciting career washing floors.
At one time I wanted to do an equally enriching and valuable double-major of French and Visual Arts, but I had the honor of being turned down by the later department. Indeed, I have been garnished by polite rejection notices (also known as PFO's - "Please F*** Off") from every art institute to which I applied - BUT I'M NOT BITTER!
Once I have my Gallery completed I will show the WORLD that I am a fearsome illustrator! I shall polute the minds of net.land with my vision, twisting them to do my bidding, and then, the world will be on its KNEES before me! BWA-HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Ahem.
I call my style of art "the realistic end of cartooning" (or "real-cartoon"; here are a few descriptive terms I've coined to describe various styles of art). At least, that's the style I typically wind up doing, with rare exception. I've recently fallen in love with the joys of computer art, although ray-tracing's a real pain in the &^%$*%)#.... But I digress....
I'm an avid role-player and a devoted priestess to the Great Gods of Caffein (since I
moved to the Land of the Sacred Bean I have had much more opportunity to pay
tribute to my Patron Lords). Other hobbies include martial arts, writing, skiing, video
games... and HTML. *grins*
