The sound controls are at the bottom of the page.
You want to let the sound load, it will take a while
the first time. There are three firework sounds. After
they load, turn them off. Although "Thuds" gives a
nice realistic background of fireworks. About thirteen
minutes into the Overture, turn them on. Not quite the
Esplanade but, as close as I could get. If you like the
effects, go to Independence Day, and The War of 1812.
I truly hope you enjoy the effort that has been put into
these pages. If the music controls or applet do not
load properly, simply refresh:) ENJOY:)
The Declaration of Independence...
A document which has reigned through so many years
Initiated the freedom to us, which is so dear, yet gaining it
Sadly, so many lives were shed with so many, many tears
If Thomas Jefferson and his noble peers
Could only visit with us in this day
They would be astonished beyond belief
And, never regret the price they had to pay
They would see a place a place where people can achieve
To be anything they choose to be
With freedom of speech, and freedom of choice
Which they fought for so heartily
These United States of America!
The name alone makes us proud
We are the land of plenty
Let us sing our anthem loud!
So with this gala on the Fourth of July
With our picnics and softball games
Let us not forget as the fireworks begin
Those brave men who signed their names
