Personality

Anime: In the anime, Misty is sweet, yet still like a tomboy. She acted much like a boy until she got Togepi and her more motherly side took over and she acts a little more sweeter now. Misty is concidered scrawny or ugly in the anime, although some characters actually think she's cute, like Dr. Proctor and Rudy.

The Electric Tale of Pikachu: Misty's a lot cooler in this manga. She claims to be 12, yet she looks more like 16. Her outfit is a lot more like a trainer than the suspenders and she's got quite a load on her backpack. It's until she does wear the suspenders later on, and get her hair a litttle lighter that she looks a bit younger, and more like the anime Misty.

Pokemon Special/Adventures: This is my favorite of the comics, although I've never really gotten my hands on buying it and I'm depressed that Misty doesn't have too much of a role. This comic is completely based on the red version, making Ash 'Red', Gary 'Green' (Japanese) or 'Blue' (English), and a few other characters the other colors of the rainbow ^_^;;. Misty is only the Cerulean gym leader. Red saves her from her gyarados that had been turned against her. You can't seem to tell what her personality is like too much, but if she had hung around with Ash later like in the anime then she probably would have turned out to live up to her name and be called the 'Tomboyish Mermaid.'

Other

Eye color: Now, this may seem like a strange topic, but I've noticed people sometimes draw Misty not with just plain blue eyes, but green eyes or brown eyes, or anything else. I've experimented with using different eye colors for Misty, and each color seems to go just fine on her. But what color are Misty's eyes, really? First you just think "Oh yeah, it's just that blue-green color. Like the ocean..." Well, take a closer look. Actually in terms of the anime, her eyes are blue with the bottom a little bit green. There's not much to see in the manga by Toshihiro Ono, but sometimes he colors it blue, sometimes green, and a few times brown (and Ash has blue eyes O_o).
