[To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.] How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how
long wilt thou hide thy face from me?
How long shall I take counsel in my soul, [having] sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy
be exalted over me?
Consider [and] hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the [sleep of] death;
Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; [and] those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.
But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.
I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.
[To the chief Musician, [A Psalm] of David.] The fool hath said in his heart, [There is] no God. They
are corrupt, they have done abominable works, [there is] none that doeth good.
The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did
understand, [and] seek God.
They are all gone aside, they are [all] together become filthy: [there is] none that doeth good, no, not one.
Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people [as] they eat bread, and call not
upon the LORD.
There were they in great fear: for God [is] in the generation of the righteous.
Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD [is] his refuge.
Oh that the salvation of Israel [were come] out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of
his people, Jacob shall rejoice, [and] Israel shall be glad.
[To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.] The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament
sheweth his handywork.
Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
[There is] no speech nor language, [where] their voice is not heard.
Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a
tabernacle for the sun,
Which [is] as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, [and] rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
His going forth [is] from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid
from the heat thereof.
The law of the LORD [is] perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD [is] sure, making wise
the simple.
The statutes of the LORD [are] right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD [is] pure,
enlightening the eyes.
The fear of the LORD [is] clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD [are] true [and] righteous
altogether.
More to be desired [are they] than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the
honeycomb.
Moreover by them is thy servant warned: [and] in keeping of them [there is] great reward.
Who can understand [his] errors? cleanse thou me from secret [faults].
Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous [sins]; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I
be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my
strength, and my redeemer.
[A Psalm of David.]] The LORD [is] my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou [art] with me;
thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my
cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the
LORD for ever.
[A Prayer of Moses the man of God.] Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.
Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from
everlasting to everlasting, thou [art] God.
Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.
For a thousand years in thy sight [are but] as yesterday when it is past, and [as] a watch in the night.
Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are [as] a sleep: in the morning [they are] like grass [which]
groweth up.
In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.
For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.
Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret [sins] in the light of thy countenance.
For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale [that is told].
The days of our years [are] threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength [they be] fourscore
years, yet [is] their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, [so is] thy wrath.
So teach [us] to number our days, that we may apply [our] hearts unto wisdom.
Return, O LORD, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.
O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
Make us glad according to the days [wherein] thou hast afflicted us, [and] the years [wherein] we have
seen evil.
Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.
And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon

Who satisfieth thy mouth with good [things; so that] thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
The LORD [is] merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
He will not always chide: neither will he keep [his anger] for ever.
He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
For as the heaven is high above the earth, [so] great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
As far as the east is from the west, [so] far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Like as a father pitieth [his] children, [so] the LORD pitieth them that fear him.
For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we [are] dust.
[As for] man, his days [are] as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
But the mercy of the LORD [is] from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his
righteousness unto children's children;
To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.
The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the
voice of his word.
Bless ye the LORD, all [ye] his hosts; [ye] ministers of his, that do his pleasure.
Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.
[A Psalm] of David.] I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto
thee.
I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for
thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth.
Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great [is] the glory of the LORD.
