          Autumn Requiem

          Twist the knife a little deeper
          I said to life
          And she obliged

          Make the pain a little greater
          I said to fate
          And she made it so

          Make my soul a little blacker
          I said to love
          And she quickly complied

          For when I look into my love's sparkling eyes
          My spirit is shattered
          The heart that is behind them
          Burns for another

          My Lady, the Mistress of Seasons

          She is a flower in spring,
          smelling like a newly sprung rose.
          Her laughter like a rippling stream,
          bright with caring and love.

          She is the warm wind of summer,
          all clad in silver green.
          She is slender like a willow,
          wilful like the waves of the sea.

          She is the colours of autumn,
          her long hair full of red leaves.
          A smile on her precious lips,
          a dancing light among the trees.

          She is the dark night of winter,
          a beautiful face red with cold.
          Her blue eyes twinkling with starlight,
          her hair the colour of gold.

          She is the mistress of seasons,
          the lovely lady in my dreams.
          Wherever she may wander,
          my heart will be with hers.

          Ghost

          Ghost hands caress my skin
          rough and callused, weathered steel, strong, like yours
          intangibly tracing the wounded landscape of my flesh

          You haunt me
          like some vengeful spirit, your face
          hovers before me, ever-present
          lurking in corners,
          the flicker of ice-blue eyes emerging from
          the brooding shadows of memory

          I feel the ghost of your lips on my naked breast,
          the urgency of unseen phantom hands in my hair,
          the sweet curve of your spine invisible beneath my yearning fingers
          I hear your footsteps in the hall, like some wretched, relentless poltergeist
          Yet nothing, nothing waits for me in the darkness
          When I reach out for you
          Your ghost vanishes
          Fades
          Only the scent of you, lingering

          I try every wives-tale trick to banish you
          Garlic and roses, crosses, wolfsbane
          Consult oracles and seers, cast runes, read the cards
          Wear out my knees crying out to the gods
          And still you come to me, night after night,
          Cruel spirit,
          to haunt my heart.

          Dragon's Shadow

          O glorious beast
          there poised upon throne;
          gilded in nobility,
          and
          raised in a castle
          of earth and stone..

          The others,
          they fear you;
          your girth and roar...
          never coming near you,
          yet fleeing before..
          Never seeing your majesty,
          nor feeling your warmth...

          As children we played
          in meadow and hills,
          jumping off rainbows
          with tumbling spills;
          laughing to howls,
          neither a care...
          returning in twilight
          to earthen lair...

          and side by side;
          in night's slumberous care;
          we protected eachother,
          on a berth we did share...

          Until one morning,
          they came without warning;
          wanting a dragon to slay..
          With trophies in eyes,
          yet despised;
          I fought as spoiled away..

          Now, as a man,
          returned to the land;
          pledging life and sword
          to your reign..
          I stand here forever,
          'tween humanity and beast,
          so they'll never hurt you again...

          Oath to the Dragon

          Sought the serenity
          of a midnight pool,
          where dragon hearts were born..
          Bestowed to all within
          the kingdom,
          an oath to serve
          was sworn..
          in gilded reverence,
          the noble act;
          foreshadowed all thy need..
          and taken in the deepest chamber,
          there sown a righteous seed..

          These,
          the words of Avalon,
          speak of valorous mettle;
          and all who dispute
          or tyrannize,
          my bow and sword
          shall settle..

          Dragonheart

          Wandering the cosmos
          a lover of color and form...
          she sits poised
          at electric palette.
          Plying her gift;
          Molding pixels
          and weaving rainbows
          with a smile..

          Dragons surround her;
          daring you to
          gaze into her eyes,
          which reveal warm pools
          in a midnight cave..
          where a swirling vortex
          draws you in..
          to placid seas,
          cloaking nearby storms
          and mosaic dreams.

          Once, she
          held me inside,
          an abyssful ride..
          We swayed gently
          in meadow'd skies;
          where shuddering hips,
          clutched me to lips;
          as lollipops exploded
          in her eyes.

          Gone now;
          galloping off on
          one of her glorious beasts...
          my heart in tow,
          I kneel in adoration
          the passions bestowed...

          FANTASY

          Beauty beyond belief wings above the clouds
          turning it glides down towards the earth. Its many
          faceted eyes looking through the darkened clouds
          dispersing them with its very presence.

          Red in color it makes the proclamation of its
          unquenchable fire, proving it a formidable beast
          The sun glitters off the irridescent scales, from
          head to talon, in red,orange,gold,yellow,and pink.

          Energy seems to be drawn in, Clinging to it, making
          it appear the center of all that is unprincipled.
          Bravery oozing from its every pore, while radiating
          a power all its own, as glory is held in its sway.

          Deadly yet gentle with a stout heroic heart, radiating
          truth, light and darkness, A creature of destiny, for
          it has been chosen to tame the fates themselves.
          Symbolicaly holding man forever enchanted.

          All encompassing, in knowledge, shrewd, yet valiant
          All knowing, understanding, with a zeal for magic.
          Complete fantasy, desire and dreams, is the Dragon
