Artist Kassity Bell
This just a little about
myself as an artist and my life .
I was raised in the lower
mainland of British Columbia.
I started painting about
the time I could write.
When I enter school I did
drawings and my teachers
noticed I was not bad for
a kid .
So they got me involved
with different projects in the school.
At that time I started
selling my work as a young artist.
I enter numerous contests
in my home town
of Chilliwack , B.C .
I won some and they were
donated to the local museum
were they hang to this day
, as far as I know .
As I got older I started
selling my drawings and paintings ,
and things just grew from
there .
I did everything from canvas
work to murals to tattoos .
Oh yes tattoos , that's
was my best money maker at that time ,
in the mid eighties.
Then I started doing car
murals , after requests from people
who saw my canvas work .
Then came the time everyone
wanted glass etching , so I did
that too.
Glass etching on trucks
and cars was a big seller then , gave
me some pocket money and
paid the bills .
Well times have changed
and now I show my work on the net.
Still to me , it is not
the same as seeing them in their
original state.
But when you want to "reach
the many" , this is the place .
I have reproductions prints
on the market across Canada .
Not as many Galleries as
I would like , but that will come .
I have done work for Ducks
Unlimited and have had
members buy my work .
I hope to do another show
soon , I have done others locally.
I would really like to take
my art show across
Canada and the U.S.
I live in the Yukon at a
small place called Marsh lake.
It is very beautiful here
, lakes , forest , wildlife .
I have spent many hours
in the bush here , either riding my
horse or out with my husband
in his boat .
Down or up the rivers and
lakes of the Yukon .
Well I hope I have
helped give you a better view of who I am
as an artist .
