MISTIERS: Jim Whaley TITLE: "The Cartoons Combined" by Steven Whaley CHARACTERS: Mike, Servo and Crow SUMMARY: Clearly a lame attempt at a superhero parody with names like Matman and Bluejay, Aknukalips and so forth. Not to mention the use of non-superheroes taken from comic strips and Nickelodeon cartoons. Sen and Rimpy? Barkfield? I hate this story. Most of the confusion centers around an airplane ticket to Miami, and there's a side story that involves Jugerot(!?!) terorizing a mall. In the end, the store manager calls the cops and *they* take care of the problem, not the (super)heroes. But the heroes *do* recieve the plane ticket, and they all live hapily ever after in Miami, and I pray to God that it was a one-way ticket. HOST SEGMENTS: Prologue: Servo invents Show-Off-Your-Signed-Underwear-Colection Day, and he's *really* into it... until Mike brings him down. Segment One: Pearl and Observer unpack the last of their boxes from the Widowmaker while Bobo sleeps comfortably on the floor. It turns out Pearl lost her movie collection during all the comotion, but she retaliates by using her collection of bad stories and fanfics, which is by far a much worse fate. Segment Two: Mike and the 'Bots dress in rediculous costumes and act out a play based on the day's experiment. Down in the castle, dozzens upon dozzens of boxes are still lying around. Pearl and Brain Guy are at a loss to explain it...until Bobo comes by and jumps for joy that all of his packages from 2525 have arrived safely at Castle Forrester. Stinger: Trudy expresses sympathy for Jugerot. REFLECTIONS: Ahh, my first MiSTing and I was proud. I didn't really have the hang of it yet and used one of my brother's old school essays for it. Origionaly this was intended to be put in the middle of season eight of MST3K, but I realized it didn't really cut it, and I took out the ending segment(which involved Crow beating up Observer for no reason) and relpaced it with the middle segment. The Castle Forrester scenes were lifted from my second MiSTing, "Off-Road Brawl". -JAW(my initials, not a nickname) CHRONOLOGICAL NOTES: After "The Phantom Planet", episode 902 of MST3K RECOMMENDED READING: [none]
