MISTIERS: Matthew Blackwell, Doug Atkinson, Andrew Perron TITLE: The Stephen Ratliff Revenge Challenge, Stephen Ratliff, Greywolf, Alyssa Powell, Mercutio, Geordi Pandovan, Don Buchan CHARACTERS: Mike, Crow, Servo, Pearl, Observer, Bobo SUMMARY: The characters of various Star Trek Fanfic series decide to get revenge on their authors for the troubles that they've been put through by those authors. In most cases, their revenge consists of telling the author that they're doing a good job, although one or two are forced to flee for their lives. Oh, and Marrissa shows up. CATAGORIES: STNG, TOS, VOY, Marrissa HOST SEGMENTS: Opening: Mike tries to get some sleep. The bots decide to form a band. Segment 1: Crow wonders what it would be like to get revenge on his writer. It doesn't go well. Segment 2: Tom follows up on Crow's idea. The results aren't good. Segment 3: Gypsy is forced to try and seek revenge. It goes pretty much in the way that you'd expect. Segment 4: Mike's attempt at revenge. Stepehn Ratliff shows up to take a test. Ending Segment: Tom, Crow and Mike force the readers to read some really bad fanfiction. Then George Clooney races into action. REFLECTIONS: Usually, when Mr. Ratliff issues a challenge to A.S.C., he's usually asking for stories based on something, well, odd. "Write a story based on a song from South Pacific." "Write a story based on the view of a bowl of gaahk." "Write a love sonnet to Debbie." You know, wierd stuff like that. Oddly enough, the challenges go over like a lead balloon. This time though, Ratliff hit paydirt. He got lots of responses, and they were usually rather well written. Still, we MiSTies have a divine mission to MiST everything related to Stephen, and these stories were good material. The Chumbawamba stuff just started off as a single riff, and just kind of snowballed from there. Even if people groaned from those riffs, that ain't ever going to keep me down.
