TITLE: Battle Arena Toshinden

CHARACTERS: Mike, Crow, Tom, Pearl, Observer, Bobo

SUMMARY:
Okay, we've got a bunch of incredibly talented martial 
artists. What do they do? Do they get together and put
on a brash new musical? Nope, they get involved in a 
secret martial arts tournament. In between rounds, they
save the world, and get involved with some sort of 
"man-machine" project, which has something to do with 
machines and men. At the end, Julian Lennon shows up.

HOST SEGMENTS:
Opening Segment: Tom gripes about the summer movies of 1997.
                 Then a cute kitty shows up on the SoL.

Segment 1: The space cat attacks the nanites. They make a 
           mini series about it.

Segment 2: The crew discovers that the space cats exist only
           to eat, procreate and flame. They're tabbles.

Segment 3: There's a big fight between the tabbles and the
           crew.  Gypsy has a cunning plan.

Ending Segment: Tom goes back in time to try and end the 
                tabble threat. 


REFLECTIONS:
Ah, my first MiSTing. My prime memory of this is spending
hours and hours and hours trying to transcribe this blasted
movie into a MiSTable form. The commercial segments got a 
good response, so naturally, I promptly left them out of 
the next few MiSTings that I did. <grin>

The tabbles came from an incursion of Meowers that 
infested R.a.t.m.m. for a brief time. Of course, by the
time that the MiSTing was completed, the Meowers were 
long gone, so it was if I was using riffs about the Carter
administration. Oh well.
