MISTIERS: WereTorgo TITLE: "Saturday," by Crystal Anne. WITH SHORT: "14 y.o.boy,charged w/stabbing & bludgeoning 68 y.o.neighbor to death, will face adult murder charges,in FL." CHARACTERS: Mike, the bots, Dr. F, Tv's Frank, Torgo, Gypsy SUMMARY: --- SHORT: Well, Joe1Orbit is a certifiable netkook... he loves coddling the criminals... to the EXTREMES. He also has issues with society in general. In retrospect this was a very poor choice for a short, but see REFLECTIONS as to why this remains. --- MAIN FEATURE: Wow. Dear, lovable, trippy Saturday. Where to begin? Well, apparently Usagi is the main character. She talks with her friends about many things, in order of importance these seem to be: grades, a picnic, and the destruction of the world. However exciting this may seem, Crystal Anne has many other things of importance to concentrate on, namely hairstyles. "Even Luna and Artemis" are in this one! Wow! There's a fight scene that lasts for all of two minutes, Usagi has odd and disorienting flashbacks, characters appear and disappear at random. Scenes end randomly. The point of view begins switching. If you can figure out exactly *who* is saying *what* at ANY given time, you're a better reader than I. Somehow something important is happening, but nobody really knows *what,* or if they do they decide not to share with the reader. I'll say it once, I'll say it again: Wow. SHORTS: 14 y.o.boy,charged w/stabbing & bludgeoning 68 y.o.neighbor to death, will face adult murder charges,in FL." CATAGORIES: Rant, Anime, Sailor Moon, fanfics written under the influence of LSD. EMAIL: URL: http://members.xoom.com/ToRgO/saturday11.wav, http://members.xoom.com/ToRgO/saturday12.wav HOST SEGMENTS: Prologue: Gypsy and the bots play Watcher in the Woods. Gypsy disappears, leaving the ship on, as Mike says, "the extremely stupid autopilot" Segment One: The panicking crew of the SoL has a last hope. His name? Torgo. Dr. F calls and is promptly ignored in favor of Torgo. Dr. F gets mad. Dr. F punishes the SoL. Segment Two: Mike and the Bots find that The Master has been using Torgo to take control of the ship. Dr. F calls to say that Gypsy can be saved... by Mike and the Bots. When asked to push the button labled, "push to send Mike into other dimension," he accidently pushes the Movie Button. Frank gets hurt. Segment Three: The Master continues to turn the ship into a cheesy motel. Dr. F decides to send Mike and Torgo into the other world to find Gypsy. The SoL goes back to normal, puzzling Crow. Servo helpfully explains. Segment Four: Servo and Crow sing Saturday: The Musical. Weird. Segment Five: Servo's head explodes in the theater, forcing Crow to beg Dr. F to resend Mike, since Mike is the only one with working hands. It gets confusing - Servo can't be sent to the other world because Crow can't be left alone for more than five minutes, and tells Mike it'll take ten minutes to fix Servo. Mike is beamed to the SoL, Crow to the other dimension, Mike fixes Servo within ten seconds. Confusing. Segment Six: The door to the SoL is locked. Someone else is aboard the SoL... and he answers to Servo's cry of "Chief." Commercials. Segment Six continues. Segment Six Continued: Crow forgot to bring Gypsy back. Mike gets mad. As Servo puts it, "he really breaks character." Mike gets ready to kill the Bots, but Servo stops him with the most touching monologue since the Shakespherian times. Mike breaks down. Segment Seven: Crow and Servo do an Inventory Check. Servo doesn't speak much. A very pale Torgo calls the SoL. His speech has improved greatly. Apparently (warning, this gets VERY confusing) Gypsy sent her spirit over to Servo, which enabled him to compose his touching monologue. This weakened Gypsy, who eventually died. Servo regains his eloquence. Crow loses his. Mike regains consciousness, just in time to hear that all his work and suffering is for naught. Torgo is stuck in the other world. Mike twitches. Crow decides to go play some solitare. The underwear drawer beckons Servo. Mike screams. Credits. Stinger: The same words going through the mind of anyone reading the fanfic. REFLECTIONS: Wow. Saturday. This was my first MSTing, and if you notice that the first two host segments aren't quite the same as the others, it's with good reason: The MSTing was started by The Great Popalino. Before he was really through, he sorta "broke down," so the rumor goes. What I found was the beginning two segments and a handful of riffs. It was my job to get permission from Crystal Anne, and write the other 2/3'rds of the story. I ended up retouching pretty much every riff, as most of them were disjointed, further evidencing a breakdown of some sort. The only part that really remains intact is the basic plot, though I sorta focused away from Torgo. Despite being the person whom I created my net.personality around, he's INCREDIBLY hard to write for. The short is written by a certifiable net.kook, Joe1Orbit... he hangs around alt.true-crime, and seems to have been a favorite target of The Great Popalino. I myself find his posts hard to riff - they speak for themselves and get redundant. Oh well. As for my actual writing... first, I must say that Crystal Anne was and is a very sweet, receptive person. I decided to reward her with my next MSTie. Of course, that doesn't mean I exactly went EASY on her... Maybe I was just nuts, but is there a plot in this mess? Oh, this is also the first MSTie with sound... yes, WereTorgo, at the cutting edge of technology for over 14 years. CHRONOLOGICAL NOTES: This is first in the WereTorgo Epic. This comes between 620/623, as someone mentions Red Zone Cuba. RECOMMENDED READING: Eye of Argon (because it's the best). No experience with Eye of Argon is necessary for full enjoyment, however.
