On
Stage 2
Dancer
Nikilai's Strange Affair was perhaps the most ambitious
-
and the most successful - of the dancers' pieces.
His
work, choreographed to Henry Purcell's Sonata in D Major,
Allegro
and Wendy Carlos's Iron,
used
five dancers, including Nikilai himself.
The
choreography used the female dancers
in
simple group patterns
and
in simple black costumes
to
excellent effects.
