Lovina

Lovina is a small village on the north shore of Bali. It's becoming more touristy with a number of small hotels and guest houses. We spent four nights here exploring the local countryside. Our guest house was simple but very nice indeed. The gardens were beautiful and very relaxing indeed. Beer was super cheap too. Yes... Mhairi is playing the bamboo instrument in the pic below.

We all did a local dolphin and snorkeling trip, but had to be up and away by 5.45am to catch the sunrise and get the dolphins feeding. Alasdair had a great time snorkeling and thoroughly enjoyed himself. Mhairi found the water too deep and had to sit in the boat!

90% of the people are Hindu in Bali and they have many wonderful temples to visit. The one below is a typical example built out of blocks of pumis stone.
