dec 2000
Well today, I found out, that the bosses and supervisors at work do not want me to have a wonderful time over Christmas as they said they wanted their staff too. I have been, ever so graciously, nominated to work, for four hours (a small shift, I know) but first thing on New Years Day, January 1. I will no longer be setting off the New Year with quite a thunderous bang as planned! Anyway I hope all those out there who will be enjoying themselves please take heed to my single solitary health warning. Do NOT work that day after drinking, regardless of how much you can remember drinking, odds on you drank more than that, and I am sure, unless you were going to quit, you would like your employment to last well into the new Year. I am still planning on going out, as the party I was going too was a Birthday and New Years celebration and I am indebted to my friends Birthday celebration, but unlike my usual self I will have to maintain self control and dignity may remain intact well into the morning.
Have fun, and don't do anything I wouldn't do!
I am hoping everybody has a big New Years Party planned. I will be bringing in the new millennium with a bang, surrounded by many of my friends, and plenty and food, drink, and loud music. Just the way I like it. Many people I know all have similar ideas about N.Y eve. Party Hard! Enjoy the time with you friends, family and all of those around you throughout this time of the year. Anyway, I got to get to work, so I will talk to you later. Be Kind to those around you!

MERRY CHRISTMAS to all of you out there who celebrate this extremely commercialised holiday. Not that I worry about that sport of thing 'cause it is only due to the commercialisation of this day that my family and I celebrate it. If the purchasing and exchanging of gifts was not such an integral part of the day, and if it should go back to focusing on the birth of "Jesus" or who ever your religion indicates, we would not be exposed to our own personal annual ludicrous aspects of the silly season. I have so far enjoyed the day, but I still have more relatives arriving later this evening, so I should get back the "celebrations" or else somebody might notice that I am missing. Talk to you all again soon.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!...
I am glad it is now the 24th of December, Christmas eve. Not because it holds any religion significance to me, expect that all the shops shut for at least on day and that is turn means I have finished work for the week. I was given extra shifts at the supermarket in which I work and boy have we been busy.
Why do people insist on eating in this festive season? I just don't understand why everybody has to come shopping all at once. We are only shut for about 32 hours. Can't people go without their local check-out-chicks riveting conversation for that long? We are open 24/7 but people seems to still come within the normal 8-10 hours in which all of the other shops are open, and busy as anything. Why do people not notice that 24 hours a day 7 days a week means just that... we do NOT shut. It is possible to shop in the middle of the night, 2 - 3 o'clock in the morning would be the slowest time of the day. People can come in and do their weekly/fortnightly shopping in about all of 20 to 30 minutes as opposed to the 1 and a half hours that the same amount of groceries would consume should their be other people in the store as there is during the day. Shopping is just simply faster during the middle of the night. Sure you may need to fight of the occasional drunk university student or derelict but people can deal with that. It is just better at night, that's all.
Buy the way, I hope every body has a good Christmas and enjoys their festive holiday season regardless of all the long lost relatives who come to town and pinch your cheeks and mentions how much you've grown since they last saw you! Have a great one! Enjoy the holidays!...
