A foreigners' representative has started working at the Social Service of Kópavogur
Recently a foreigners' representative began working in Kópavogur. On of her tasks is to promote greater knowledge among town authorities about foreigners' issues and needs. The main goal is to develop a comprehensive town policy regarding immigrants' issues.
The jof of the foreigners' representative is still in development. I would really like to get in touch with residents of Kópavogur who are of foreign descent and learn about their experiences of living in Kópavogur, their needs, and their suggestions about what we can do better and how we can improve their general situation.
In order to succeed, I feel it is essential that foreigners be active participants in the policy development process which is ahead. Therefore I ask all interested parties to contact me for those who desire it.
