After her emigrating family was killed by pirates, the six-month-old Depa Billaba was rescued by Mace Windu. He sensed her strength and brought her to Coruscant for training. Adopting the traditional culture of Chalacta to honor her slain parents, Depa Billaba offers an ordered perspective to the wide-ranging minds of the council. She is one of the most recent additions to the Jedi Council.
