Well, we can sure tell summertime is in full swing now! The days are longer, the weather is HOT, and people are not as frequent, nor stay as long in the room as before. Also a good sign... The articles for the PT News are just not pouring in like they usually do! I don't know really what to say about that or exactly what I personally am feeling right now. Although, all I can say is, as long as we get something to print each week, the PT News will continue, thanks to those who continue to contribute. If you have any ideas for new articles, please feel free to email us at the paper email and we'll be happy to try it out. Freddie, Goose, Gander and I are baby-sitting 2 boys (one 11 and the other one's bday is tomorrow, he'll be 10) for a friend of ours tonight, while she's out of town on business. Goose and I took them to the beach today, and boy did we have fun! The water in the ocean is so warm right now! It's really nice for swimming, but the salty water burns the eyes. First off, we went swimming for a while... then the boys got to searching for starfish and sand dollars. We finally found some sand dollars and then some more, and then some more! LOL... Before long, we had both hands full of live sand dollars! THEN... I found a live starfish! (I felt sorry for it though, and let it go back... well, thanks to some lady that made me feel guilty, saying it was like aborting it, or taking it's life! SHEESH!) I have never seen live sand dollars or starfish before, it was kind of exciting! While we were swimming, the youngest boy came across a school of stingrays! Let me tell you... I've never heard a kid scream so loud and move so fast! He didn't know what was after him! LOL It was so cool to see the school of stingrays as they maneuvered on down the shoreline! Just goes to show that you never know what you are going to see on our beach! (OH... and I could tell you about some of the other things I saw today, but I think it best to keep some things to myself! LOL All in all, I think we had a wonderful day at the beach, ending it with setting off fireworks on the beach! Boy, what a life we lead! LOL For the youngest boy's birthday, we are in the process now of baking him a cake, which we will have tomorrow before they leave! Well, I trust your summer is going well so far and you all are enjoying it to the fullest! I know I certainly am! Until next time, Alladdinn ____________________________________________________________ LETTERS TO THE EDITORS [email protected] __________________ Send your letters to the editors to: [email protected] ALL comments and suggestions are valuable to us in providing you with the most enjoyable reading material possible! All will be taken into consideration! ___________ I personally enjoy receiving the pt news each week. Even though I've not been able to go to the room and chat, for reasons of either my health or the situation of living arrangements I've been in. It's a way for me to keep up some, without having to type as much, that seems to be a problem for me lately. Many don't know it but I am a disabled person that doesn't get out much. Pt and the Internet as a whole are my main means of socializing. I also have epilepsy, which many know of from last December. The new medications are affecting many things for me currently. I would like to say a few thanks, openly :-) many thanks go out to all of you that worried so when I lost control of the seizures in December and Jan. And the continued support through a lot of rough times, both financially and physically. I'd also like to thank West from the bottom of my heart for giving me shelter when I became homeless in April. Things are mellowing quite a bit now, and I'm returning to what I was, before all of the trauma to my system. I'm finally settled a bit for housing as well, staying with my grand mother in southern California, after staying at a dear friend's house for the past month. I am in hopes of this being my last bounce for a bit anyway. So to all my PT family and friends that have been there. Thank you luv :) Ollie _____________ Hey Everyone, This is to let you know I do read the PT News, and do look forward to reading it every week, although this was a rather sad one after reading about gany's loss. I didn't know Frenchy at all. However, I know the struggle of losing someone close, for I have been down that road and my heart goes out to Gany and hope he will find strength in Frenchy's death. Don't let him die in vain and always keep him in your heart. You must remember I have friends here too that I'm afraid of losing to that damn aids shit too. No one is really safe from it and nothing disturbs me more than that asshole that comes in the room to bash and make rude useless comments about it to everyone. Those that like chuckie, and stand up for him are as sorry if not sorrier than he is...and I really could care less if you put me on ignore because of my feelings over this matter, for one I ignore anyone that talks to the little bastard anyway. I would hate to know I had aids and my friends (lose terms) would not bother to stand up for me. I just thought it was worth talking about and I know several will feel the same way... and a special note to Gany...Viking is a real friend to and I know he worries about you a lot. He is one you will be able to always count on. Mikey (yogi) ______________ HEY Roomies: I feel for Steve (Gany) and offered to use a land line to just be there for him. I always feel 4 those that are hurt or dying and even though I am young I have lost and been there too. My sincerest condolences!!!!!! PT NEWS is kewl and I am always here but sometimes I can't respond as quickly as I would like to (last week-end the den was being painted and the puter was off-lol M/Tat). I have noticed that our room content has gone a bit downhill and the PT NEWS reflects that too-no no PT NEWS is great but the submissions reflect the room ie WE HAVE A PROBLEM of some sort. Apathy maybe, I don't know.... Mundane???... I don't know... I do know that we as a group/family have to take a serious look at ourselves and not turn PTNEWS into a high school paper/gossip column. Where are all the regulars going? Why are the newbies leaving? The large AV thing is stupid and taking up space that others could use. What happened to the cute fights we had? Where have all the flowers gone-lol Anyway, I love y'all and will always be here for anyone even if I slide in on THURSDAY - Neked Nite - NEKED LOL. Some people have forgotten that night. PT NEWS... Keep up the effort----THIS ROOM STILL KICKS ASS!!!!!!! Love to all, VIKING aka XV666boyiking _____________ Dear editors, Just a note to thank you for adding me to the LIST, I feel so special now, and enjoyed to content very much. If you get a chance to talk with Gany, thank him for his contribution, and let him know that others (including myself) have been through the hellish time that they went through, and that you do get to the other side of it... and that we are here to help any way we can. Anyhow thanks again and I look forward to future articles, and may even have something for you soon. Regards, Tavman ____________________________________________________________ GAY VOICE ________ BAPTISTS SPEAK OUT ON GAY PRIDE MONTH (Submitted by Joker) Atlanta - The Southern Baptists Convention formally rebuked Pres. Clinton on Wed. for designating June as Gay and lesbian Pride Month and demanded that he resign the appointment of a gay man to ambassador to Luxembourg. The resolution on Gay and lesbian Pride Month was wrapped in the language of religious tough love "for our president and our love for people enslaved in sins of all types". It concluded with prayers for salvation of sinners and a denunciation of all violent attacks on homosexuals. The resolution did not include a disciplinary recommendation against Clinton, who is a southern Baptist. The recommendation, endorsed by SBC President Paige Patterson, was ruled out of order. Other actions were that they called on the American Psychological Association and others professional groups not to "publish studies or reports which attempt to normalize or legitimize immoral behavior" ______________ GAY BISHOP OF NY (Submitted by Joker) Bath NY - An Episcopal Church of America diocese elected a Newark, NJ, priest as its next bishop Sat. narrowly bypassing a New Hampshire candidate hoping to become the churches openly gay bishop. After five ballots, the diocese of Rochester in western New York chose the Rev. Jack McKelvey ahead of the Rev. V. Gene Robinson and 3 other nominees to succeed retiring Bishop William G. Burrill at year end. McKelvey 57, a bishop of the Newark Diocese for 9 years, and a priest since 1967, supports same sex marriages and ordination of openly gay ministers. Robinson 52, assistant to Bishop Douglas The uner of the Diocese of New Hampshire, and a priest for 25 years, who acknowledged he was gay in 1986, said he expects to try again to become bishop. ______________ "ITS ELEMENTARY" (Submitted by Joker) I saw this in USA Today 6/17/99, Anyone ever see? A documentary designed to help teachers initiate discussions about homosexuals is drawing fire from conservative groups that say it encourages children to be gay and upsurps parental authority. The controversy has caused some PBS stations to nix showing "ITS ELEMENTARY", while others are waffling. So far 100 of the nations 347 public television stations have shown the 58 min. film or plan to, 85 have refused, and 58 are considering it. Jerry Brigham, gen. manager of Alaska One, a group of 3 PBS stations in that state, will air it Sunday even though his 250,000 viewers are conservative. " We are not exactly a bunch of tree huggers here ", he says, "But public television is supposed to air alternative programs." American Familys Ed Vitagliano says grade school kids are too young to be exposed to such lifestyles because " young people can get trapped at a time when they are already confused about their sexuality. "ITS ELEMENTRARY" director and co-producer Chasnoff, a lesbian mother of two sons says teachers have no choice but to deal with it. "Anti gay prejudice is so rampant in grade schools" that "teachers say it interferes with education" Such prejudice has contributed to recent attacks on gays be making it " socially acceptable to be homophobic". But viewers in Wyoming, where gay college student Matthew Shepard was murdered last year, "would have a fit" if it were shown there. Says Vanessa Dickinson, a manager for KCWC, a public TV outlet there. _____________ GUILTY PLEA FOR SENSLESS MURDER (Joker) I just thought I would send this in case anyone missed this in the news before... Laramie Wyo. The girlfriend of a man who pleaded guilty to killing Gay student Matthew Shepard was sentenced Friday to up to 2 years in prison for helping to cover up evidence in the killing. Chasity Vera Pasley, 20, cried repeatedly as she was sentenced to 15 months to two years in prison for being an accessory after the fact to 1st degree murder. _____________ HATE CRIMES (Submitted by Joker) West Palm Beach Fla. A teenager who beat and kicked a gay man to death for calling him "beautiful" was convicted of murder. Bryan Donahue, 17 could get life in prison for the slaying of Steven Goederels, 29, a waiter who was beaten in 1998 outside a suberan convience stor. Donahue kicked him 20 times in the head. Donahues lawyer, Joe Atterbury, had argued that the boy was motivated by fear of sexual assault, not by hatred. _____________ MORE HATE CRIMES (Submitted by Joker) Greenfield, Mass. Two prep school students are charged with a hate crime for allegedly carving an antigay slur into another students back because he liked to listen to the Brittish rock band Queen. Jonathan Shapiro, 18 and Matthew Rogers, 20, allegedly used a pocket knife to cut "HOMO" into the back of a 17 year old student at the Northfield Mount Herman School. Shapiro was charged a day after Rogers. _____________ This is a letter to the editor of the MILWAUKEE JOURNAL; (Submitted by Joker) I almost felt good about myself. Sure there were stresses in my life with family, friends, and work-- all typical stuff. Still, I was getting by, trying my best, treating others, as I would want to be treated. Thankfully, I was reminded last week just how worthless and a degenerate I really was. You see I'm not heterosexual. 1st Dr. Laura advised her readers in her June 3rd column that gay children do not deserve equality and/or civil rights and that while they may be tolerated, they certainly should not be respected. This is according to her interpretation of scripture. Then there was Cal Thomas, fretting in his June 3rd column that he does not have enough rights because public institutions will not recognize his god as above all others. He particularly resents " alternate lifestyles". Gee, what is the point of our Constitution if our most personal sacred beliefs require government endorsement? Finally, there was The Bank Of Scotland, apparently surprised that Pat Robertson exploited hate against gays, thus causing a riff in a lucrative deal to sell to Christians ("Evangelist's bank deal is faltering," June 3). One needs to warn the Bank of Scotland to watch out for not only false prophets, but also false profits, and that are exploiting God for money is really not as holy as Robertson may have made it sound. Yes, it was a bad week. But, on the positive side, at least I did not deliberately hurt or dehumanize anyone. I wonder how many Judeo-Christians can say that. J. Jeffery Simon Milwaukee (My sentiments exactly, Joker) _____________________________________________________________ TECH TIPS and CYBER NEWS [email protected] (Tech Master) _______ TECH TIP #28 Sorry everyone. (Submitted by kalli2) I once was on a plane where I was served by an obviously homosexual male flight attendant. At one point, he bounced over to where I was sitting and announced "The Captain has asked me to announce that he will be landing the big scary plane shortly, so if you could just put up your trays... that would be great." I did as he had instructed but the woman sitting next to me did not. A few moments later, our flight attendant came back and said to her: "Ma'am, perhaps you couldn't hear me over the big scary engine, but I asked you to please put up your tray so that the captain can land the plane." She still wouldn't comply. Now he was getting angry and asked her again to put up the tray. She then calmly turned to him and said: "In my country, I am called a princess. I take orders from no one." Our flight attendant replied: "Oh yeah? Well in MY country, I'm called a queen and I outrank you, bitch, so put the tray up!" _____________________________________________________________ IT'S A GAY WORLD ___________________ June is GAY PRIDE month here in the states! Goodbye house, goodbye stairs, I was born here, I was raised here, and I took some stick here. Love at first sight, may sound trite, but it's true, you know, I could list the details of everything you ever wore or said, or how you stood that day. As we spend the last night on Maudlin Street, I say, "goodbye house forever!" I never stole a happy hour, around here, Where the world's ugliest boy became what you see here I am the ugliest man. It's the last night on Maudlin Street, and truly I do love you. Oh, truly I do love you. When I sleep with that picture of you framed beside my bed, oh it's childish and it's silly, but I think it's you in my room by the bed. Yes, told you it was silly, and I know, I took strange pills, but I never meant to hurt you, oh truly I love you. I came home late one night, everyone had gone to bed, nobody stays up for you. When you have sixteen stitches all around your head, the last bus I missed to Maudlin Street. So, he drove me home in the Van, complaining Women only like me for my mind, don't leave your torch behind, power cuts ahead, as we crept through the park, but no I cannot steal a pair of jeans, off a clothesline for you. But you without clothes, oh I could not keep a straight face, me without clothes? Well a nation turns its back and gags, I'm packed, I am moving house, a half-life disappears today, every slag waves me on, secretly wishing me gone. Well, I will be soon oh I will be soon. There were bad times on Maudlin Street, when they took you away in a police car, dear Inspector don't you know? Don't you care? Don't you know about Love? Your gran died, and your mother died, on Maudlin Street, in pain and ashamed, with never time to say, those special things. I took the keys from Maudlin Street. Well, it's only bricks and mortar! And truly I do love you, wherever you are, wherever you are. Bernie/ Morrissey ;-) ______________ When I lie away in bed, thoughts of you fill my head when will I see you , when will that be? when will you be lying next to me ? I miss your body so close to mine, wishing I could hold you , without worry if the time, sometimes when I see you your face looks alone, maybe I should just call on the phone. My dreams if they wander, please return them to me for there not allowed to roam about free, put them back in there box, and send them right back, this way they won't receive any slack. Put on them a ribbon, and seal with a kiss, cause these dreams of mine I will surely miss, make sure there's a stamp, and address them to me , or these dreams of mine, I will never see. Goldie - ) _____________________________________________________________ THE PT MORNING SHOW (Alladdinn) _______ We have a brand new addition to PT in the morning hours. It's the PT Morning show, hosted by Kelsluv, Worrygirl, and yours truly. I don't know what brought on this new morning show, but we have had quite the shows in the last few days! Kels and Worry sit in their corner penthouse, overlooking the room, interviewing the willing participants, while I just interview from within the viewing audience! This has turned into a wonderful way for us all to get to know one another better, as well as introduce new folks into the room. If, by chance you are up in the early morning hours, you are always more than welcome to sit in the audience during the show! Also, if you'd like to become a participant on the panel, please let us know and we'll be more than happy to book you in! It's fun, interesting, intriguing, and very informative! You'll be glad you came! Until next we chat, Alladdinn _____________________________________________________________ MISTY'S DRAG BAG (Misty) _______ We go through life making so few friends when you think about it. What is the population of the world? Then what is the population of the country that you live in? Then the population of the state you live in? Then the population of the town you live in? How many people do you pass in the streets each year and of those how many could you say are your friends? See I was right, compared to the total populations even only of the people we actually encounter a very small percentage makes it into the friend's category. So to loose a friend, especially a lover is very hard. So Gany having read your article, I can tell you of my tears for your loss, because loosing anyone is difficult, loosing someone who was so close and so nice even more so. I know my tears are of little use or consolation, I wish I could give you a hug but unfortunately I can't. See folks a few years ago I lost a good friend. I had met him through work and he was one of the first gay friends I had. He was a mature gentleman but only 50yrs old. Broad smile and the best personality. Always bright and bubbly. He too contracted Aids but continued to work, more through sheer determination and will power I think. We went out a few times and he showed me around the leather scene. It was a real eye opener for me at that stage. I got to know both him and his boyfriend, they had been together over years. Then one day I got a transfer and sort of lost touch with the old crowd. I popped back for visits occasionally but not as often as I could of. Then one day I was talking to another old work mate who had called me because she was depressed. She told me she was going to a funeral for an ex-workmate who she had gotten on well with. In her grief she told me where and when the funeral was and then started going through the list of people who would be in attendance at the service. Strangely enough I knew all the names which got me thinking very hard and I cautiously asked whose funeral it was. When she told me I just about dropped the phone and ran out of the office. I took one deep breath and said, "I'm sorry hon, I have to go. I'll call you later". Then I ran out. Tears streaming down my face as I went. My supervisor came out to see if I was ok, and seeing I wasn't took me home. The tears didn't stop. Later in the afternoon I called my friend back and told her why I had to go and said I would go to the service but could not face the funeral itself. I rang work and got time off. Then I rang Steph, Garaths boyfriend. He told me the full story of Garaths moments, he was glad to hear from me and asked me to come to the funeral with him. Garath had fallen ill again 8 months beforehand, he had taken some time off work and they had gone overseas one last time, they ended up cutting their holidays short because of Gareth's ill health, Then it was in and out of hospital until finally it was just in hospital. They hadn't called anyone since their return to OZ. They wanted the time to themselves, naturally. Gareths last moments were filled with pain despite the treatments of the hospital staff, and in his final release he found the freedom to be happy again. The service saw so many faces show to pay their condolences and I remember the look on Steph's face as the service ended and he stood to leave, marching down the isle, though his eyes were filled with tears he held his head high. Gareth was the first friend I lost to aids, but unfortunately not my last. And each time I loose a friend a little piece of me goes with them. I retain their memories of the moments I have shared with them and proud to have been able to call them my friend. Gany, Steve I know that this was expected and I know it hurts. I also know that you loved him and that those cherished moments will live on in your thoughts. Be well my friend. Here's yet another installment of "Tat's Tidbit's". Last weeks was behind since my mouse died, so I hope the charts for this week don't confuse you. I have added two more features to this column. MUSICAL REWIND and NEW RELEASES. Both pertain to (You guessed it !!!) music. So sit back, grab a piece of paper and a pen, 'cause you are gonna wanna write some of this down for future "Must See" and 'Must Buy" lists that I know you have stuck to your Frigidaire. *S* _____________ Celebrity News Let's Go To The Movies Billboard's Top 10 Singles Billboard's Top 10 Albums Musical Rewind New Releases Read A Book, Expand Your Mind (amazon.com's Top 10 List) "OH PUH-LEEEEEEZE" of the week Tat's Tummy Tickler Weekly Blowhard (PSSSSSST !!!! Fans stood outside the box office hoping for a last minute ticket to the star-studded ceremony of more than 50 categories. And why not? With more than 25 million votes cast worldwide in BLOCKBUSTER c stores, Planet Hollywood restaurants and here, Online, this winner's event is created by you for YOU! The audience went wild with screams as the Latin pop sensation RICKY MARTIN opened the show with his chart-topping hit " LIVIN' LA VIDA LOCA." Ricky gyrated in a skin-tight black satin shirt while dancers moved around a stage of horn players, revolving platforms, video screens and explosions of sparks. "I'D LIKE TO THANK" ___________________ The first award was given to the Favorite Actor in a Comedy, ADAM SANDLER, who provided a list of all the other awards he lost. He cited a less than perfect attendance record and the denial of a Yale scholarship ["They want smart people"], as proof that he was a failure at everything but at least "you people like me!" Some winners almost wept, like Favorite Actress in a Romantic Comedy DREW BARRYMORE, who said, "I want to thank my friend COURTNEY [LOVE]. This is so exciting to receive this from her." But probably the most touching was Favorite Actor in a Drama, TOM HANKS, who received a standing ovation. MR.HANKS spoke about the World War II Memorial Campaign to build a monument on the Mall in Washington, D.C. in honor of "a generation of people who, at our age, did nothing less than save the world." JEFF BRIDGES acknowledged BLOCKBUSTER and the VSDA for raising 2 million dollars for the Fast Forward To End Hunger Campaign, which helps over 14,000,000 children everyday. Bridges said gratefully "Thank you for making a real difference toward ending hunger." ____________________ WORLD ARTIST AWARD JOHN TRAVOLTA was honored for his talent, versatility and international appeal with the World Artist Award. A star of television, Broadway and the movies, TRAVOLTA has entertained audiences in some of the biggest hits of all time. Clips from films like "SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER," "GREASE," and "PULP FICTION" illustrated his extraordinary acting skills that have endeared him to fans worldwide. He exclaimed, "Thank you for everything. This is so great! I want to thank all of you for being with me for 24 years. You have treated me royally and I have enjoyed it immensely." ____________________ STAR PERFORMANCES Although RICKY MARTIN is a hard act to follow, outstanding performances continued throughout the show. Another Latin sensation, JENNIFER LOPEZ hip-hopped through her new hit "IF YOU HAD MY LOVE." Dressed in a silver mesh top and mini-skirt, she wowed the audience with her hot moves - it's easy to see she's an ex-fly girl. SARAH McLACHLAN sang her popular, soulful hit "ANGEL" amongst hundreds of white candles followed by a bittersweet performance of "PLEASE REMEMBER ME" by the long, tall and handsome TIM MCGRAW. The show closed with 'N SYNC'S remake of the CHRISTOPHER CROSS' classic "SAILING." Together, CROSS and 'N SYNC blended beautiful harmonies with some surprising stunts. If you look closely you might see the wires! ________________________ "LET'S GO TO THE MOVIES" (Weekly Box Office Grosses) #1. Take last year's Tibetan Freedom Concert double-disc: decent show, boring album. 'No boundaries" had no rained-on live show to draw from, but instead, features artists from Pearl Jam (twice) to Ben Folds Five to the Wallflowers donating remixes, acoustic live versions, live recordings, outtakes, and covers to help out "Doctors Without Borders", "OxFam" and "CARE", all of which aid displaced Kosovars. Neil Young's frightening live rendition of "War of Man", Oasis' "Take Me Away" and Tori Amos' brutally mellow, "Merman" steal the show here, but it's a decent mix all around. And hey, it's for a good cause. (HEIDI SHERMAN) ____________________________________________________________ "READ A BOOK, EXPAND YOUR MIND" (amazon.com's Top 10 List) #1. This week's "OH PUH-LEEEEEEEEZE" goes to the ex NKOTB members, Jordon Knight and Joey McIntyre. What in gay hell made these two morons think they could come back from oblivion and start all over again? Did they really think that if they both took a 7 year hiatus, that they could start fresh with a whole new image (and supposed) sound? Can I get an "OH PUH-LEEEEEEEEZE" from someone out there??? I guess they could have taken the MC Hammer route, who these days is singing "I Can't Afford This" and repenting on the Trinity Broadcasting Network. But No!!! I suppose I should lay off a bit. At least they have the cajones to try... yet again. *snicker* Well they have proven that they didn't have "The Right Stuff" 7 years ago. Perhaps the Music God's will smile on both of them this time and give them long running careers, but I have my serious doubts about that. Does anyone remember TIFFANY???? Case in point. ------------------------------------------------------ "TAT'S TUMMY TICKLER" (They may be gross, they may be crass and vulgar, but they are certain to make you chuckle) A man and a woman started to have sex in the middle of a dark forest. After about 15 minutes of it, the man finally gets up and says, "Damn, I wish I had a flashlight!!". The woman says, "Me too !!! You have been munching grass for the past ten minutes!!!!" Points to ponders: If Barbie is so popular, why do you have to buy her friends? 24 hours in a day... 24 beers in a case... coincidence? If you choke a smurf, what colour does it turn? Who is General Failure and why is he reading my hard disk? What happens if you are scared half to death twice? What's the speed of dark? How do you tell when you have ran out of invisible ink? Final point: Why do psychics ask as you for your name? _____________________________________________ "THE WEEKLY BLOWHARD" (The piss, moan, whine, gripe and bitch column) When and if I get a gripe I will stick it here !!!!!! I have gotten quite a few emails from people wondering where I have been. Basically I am doing some coaching and entering in some tournaments and don't have time for much else. Thanks for asking though! Sorry, no lists this week. BRAD BEYER: GENERAL ELECTRIC Why is it that washed-up jocks often go into acting? Maybe they miss the limelight. At 24 years of age, Brad Beyer was already burned out. He lettered in three varsity sports in high school: basketball, football and track, then went on to a football stint at the University of Minnesota. With an 0-8 record for Saint John's in his last year, it's understandable why he took up acting. Of his recent performance as a drifter in a small theater production of The Chili Queen, one critic raved: "Brad Beyer as Buddy Hardeman represents the entrance of a major young actor." It was more than just a nice review for his scrapbook. For Beyer, who'd sweated it out in off-Broadway plays for a couple of years, that one snippet changed his life. It caught the attention of a big-time casting director and, according to the Wisconsin native, "She called me in to read for The General's Daughter and Crazy in Alabama that same day...and I ended up getting both of them. Bam! Two in one day! It was pretty incredible This is a quote from brad about recently moving to New York from his small town: "I remember when my dad came to drop me off. We were down in the Village, standing on the corner, and there's a parade coming down the street. My dad's like, 'Oh, look, a parade.' It ended up being a gay pride parade--you know, naked buff dudes on a float. My dad had sort of a dumbfounded look." As for Brad's future, this is what he has to say: "Whenever I finish a job, I like to come back and get into a class again and keep myself sharp and working on roles I wouldn't necessarily be cast in right now--to stretch myself and flex my muscles." I guess he still has a little bit of the athlete in him. Here is the best picture I could find of this guy. http://members.xoom.com/Rex__/misc/bb1.gif POETIC JUSTICE Martina Hingis and her anti-lesbian attitudes lost in a huge upset in the French Open final. Since her comments about open lesbian Emily Mouresmo, the French have strongly disliked Martina. In fact, they continually booed her loudly throughout the match. Hingis was leading and was 3 points from the match until her tantrums almost got her disqualified. Her rage allowed Graf, her opponent, to get back into the match to win it. Immediately after the match, while the crowd cheered Graf's win, Hingis ran off of the court in tears. Minutes later, her mother brought her back out onto the court for the trophy presentation. Hingis sobbed uncontrollably throughout while her mother consoled her. Meanwhile, watch for tennis' most photographed and watched teen-age stars Venus Williams and Anna Kournikova this Saturday on NBC. They head into their fourth-round match at Wimbledon. OUR ONGOING SOFTBALL BATTLE AT THE OFFICE Well, we have played 4 games so far. We have a decent record of 2-2; not bad considering we have played only veteran teams. I have to admit, the ladies are truly outplaying the men. Half our team is composed of computer geeks who move like Jerry Lewis on the field. We have already stopped practicing due to poor attendance but everyone still shows for the games.
